'We had a wonderful stay at Wellingtons. The apartment was perfect for our family - spacious and beautifully furnished but also very practical for a young family. The pool was super clean and warm - the children loved it. We enjoyed the walk into town - Salcombe is a great location with plenty of food options. South Sands beach was great with the added bonus of amenities. If you love gardens you must visit Overbecks National Trust - it is stunning. I should also add that our host was very quick...

'Within 50 yards of the beach which is extremely clean, not too busy in September, boat taxi to Salcombe, good food in hotel opposite, apartment excellent, beds fab and balcony perfect for people watching. Definitely recommend.'

'Beautiful and very spacious apartment, just in front of the beach, with great views and a lovely terrace. Everything was perfect. The owners had even welcomed us with brownies and scones/jam/cream - very thoughtful. The property is an a beautiful place, just across the beach, 10 min away from Salcombe either by car or by boat. We preferred South Sands to Salcombe itself. Lovely coastal walks nearby as well.'

'Perfect location right by the beach. And very convenient for the restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The apartment is very well equipped indeed and essentially brand new. The parking space right outside is a real plus, but the locking bollard is broken. That’s the only negative.'

'We have stayed at this property before. The fact that we came back says something! The stunning view remains the same, but the replacement of dining chairs, as shown in the picture at the top of this review, with benches we found less convenient. The pictured bottle of wine was absent! A few minor bits of maintenance are required, but overall it is very comfortable with good facilities. We would be happy to revisit.'

'Fantastic one week's holiday at Sea Swallow, Woodside Beach apartments, the apartment was lovely and had everything you could want. The balcony views were fabulous, really pretty. We had a great time, I would highly recommend.'

'We loved the views and easy walk down to South Sands beach. We built several castles with moats etc, helped by the stream. It's nice to be able to park the car and not use it again during the week, as we could use the South Sands ferry, or walk, into Salcombe town. The coast path is also lovely and easy to get to.'

'Great sea views, sunny large terrace - enjoyed our coffees there! Kids enjoyed board games and tried sketching the harbour. Rooms were tastefully decorated, kitchen well equipped. Nice attention to details. Children bedroom had two single beds and one foldable bed. Good communication with the owner who recommended walks around and bike rentals. 'Its location is perfect. Close to all Salcombe has to offer but far enough away from the main street to insure a quiet evening. Cannot fault the cottage and this is our 3rd visit'

'Great stay in North Sands with Salcombe Abode. A fab apartment in a great setting, light and sunny and very well equipped. Coffee machine (coffee pods provided) dishwasher,( tablets provided) even a backpack, a little thing but so useful. Had originally booked for 4 days but it was so wonderful we extended our stay. Will definitely return to No 5, and thoroughly recommend Salcombe Abode, great personal service..'
