Negatief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Our stay was extremely disappointing. We arrived at the hotel after 9pm the evening of checkin and had to wait 30 minutes for our room to be cleaned and ready for us. We were staying as an individual family, but our daughter was staying as part of a larger group. The group had a room block of 10 rooms. They attempted to check in at 4pm and were told the same thing and they didn't get into their rooms until 9pm.
Once our family was able to get into our room, we found that there were corners cut when cleaning the room. The wood floor throughout the room was filthy, the toilet had fecal smears on the OUTSIDE of the bowl, there was no soap in the shower and the toilet paper was low. There were dried out chicken pieces and other food on the floor and we had to wear shoes to walk around the room.
It felt very icky to stay in the room and unfortunately we had booked 2 nights because we had an all day event on Saturday. We left after the 2nd night and headed to a Holiday Inn Express (in a different city) and it was a night and day difference. It highlighted the level of filth we experienced at Tru and the overall lack of comfort Tru offered.
I also want to note that there was a very rude female working the front desk. She became frustrated and walked away. Another staff member had to come work the desk the rest of the evening. Very dissapointing.
