Merci pour les commentaires, nous tenons à souligner que la maison est située à la campagne et les moustiques sont présents en nombre auquel on pourrait s'attendre à la campagne. Le pH de la piscine est automatiquement ajusté par une machine et pendant votre séjour la machine est tombée en panne. Nous sommes intervenus immédiatement, nous sommes désolés pour ce qui s'est passé mais dans ces cas, la seule chose que nous pouvons faire en tant que propriétaires est d'intervenir rapidement.

Thank you for your comments Florian, we are glad that you had a relaxing vacation at the villa. We are looking into improving the kitchen equipment. Every year we update something at the property and we already have a list of things to do during the winter, like renovating 2 of the bathrooms.

We did our utmost throughout the week to help these quite demanding guests. Now, despite our best efforts, it is just sad and disappointing to read this review. In order to give some background, we need to describe just a few examples from this week. The guests complained about the refrigerator, so we had it checked out and confirmed that it works very well. They didn’t see that there were 18 glasses in the kitchen cabinet, and were so upset they went out and bought a set at the supermarket (our glasses are still there). When they got a flat tire, we even found a mechanic to come to the villa and change it because the guests didn’t know how and their car rental company left them stranded. We are always happy to help our guests, and to receive constructive criticism so we can improve! But it is also important for us to give readers balanced information. Regarding the specific complaints in this review: We pride ourselves on taking great care of the property and try to give our guests a good stay. So frankly it is almost offensive to read that the house is run down and smells. After this review we went through the house carefully to try to find an odor, but we did not find anything. About the kitchen equipment, there is an oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine: however we will gladly look in to providing additional equipment. About the dirty dishes in the cabinets: the family who stayed at the villa the week before washed the dishes and put them away in the cabinets, we did not check them and they were not clean: our mistake for not checking properly, as noted, we immediately went to the villa and washed everything again. Regarding supplies: we do leave dish soap in the kitchen, by the window. We also provide a first roll of toilet paper in all the bathrooms. We don’t leave salt and sugar for hygienic reasons. The villa is just as advertised: there is air conditioning in all 5 bedrooms but not in the common areas. However, the ground floor area stays naturally cool thanks to thick, stone walls, as long as you close the shutters during the day, as the locals do.
