Thanks for the great review despite the pillow! We are curious if this was one of our new super puffy pillows or an older one that seems a bit flatter. Important for us to know if our new pillows are not to our guests' liking! But thank you for everything you said and we hope you return soon.

Thank you for such a high score despite the disappointments. Breakfast is limited due to city regulations that don't allow more unless we had a separate prep kitchen - and our space doesn't have room for that unfortunately. For those reading, we have cereals, oatmeal, fruit salad, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We also have off street rooms and are happy to move guests if space allows. We hope you visit again and we'll be happy to put you off street.

Thanks for the great review. If you come again and the room is too cold, just make reception aware so we can adjust the air conditioning. We appreciate that you understand that some guests just don't get hostel etiquette but if you are disturbed, our staff would be happy to speak to those making noise outside of quiet hours.

San Diego hotels have become quite expensive and that's why more and more people are trying hostels out. The hotel right across the street from us is at least 300 per night! We may not have bathrooms in the rooms but we are more fun! Glad you enjoyed your stay.
