Location. Location. Location.
Really nice place on Mission Bay. Peaceful and quiet mornings on the balcony watching the sunrise. Lots of water activity (sailboats, kayaks, paddle boarders) throughout the day. Close to great restaurants, coffee, bars, the beach. The townhouse is nicely appointed and well stocked. Two parking spots were key. Never needed to move the car, everything within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again!

Early morning paddle boarding on Mission Bay, coffee and pastries from Olive cafe, followed by a Mission Beach walk...the perfect start to a day in San Diego! The condo was spacious enough to relax with local friends before walking to nightlife in Pacific Beach. Would definitely want to stay here again.

The location is good, the area is nice enough w/ cute places to eat near-by. The condo itself is meh. The kitchen is old & depressing. You will hate the open concept bathroom in the main bedroom- Terrible lighting, low shower pressure and youre freezing when you get out. My biggest issue is safety. I had to request twice for a smoke detector to be installed, only one lock works on the front door, the sliding doors only have the flip locks and w/ the 2nd bedroom sharing a communal balcony, this is a problem for women travelers. Watch out for the bed post in the main bedroom! It sticks out so you hit your leg on it at least 10x.

We had a very nice stay. It has wonderful views. The lock box in the garage is kind of a pain, but check in was easy. We had a 4:00 check in time and condo was still being cleaned. The condo was clean and comfortable. We would stay again.

The condo was very neat and clean. It had everything we needed, especially for cooking and heading to the beach. My favorite part though was the nice patio to sit and relax. The view was fabulous.

Fabulous property right on the water. Perfect location for you to enjoy the bay or the beach which is a short walk. This is a spacious, clean 2 bedroom unit. Beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. As an added bonus, you have a view of Sea World fireworks from the patio. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful Family Spot
We really enjoyed beach play on the more mellow bay side. I loved sitting on the patio while the baby napped so I could watch my husband and daughter on the beach, also great for people and boat watching. It was very helpful that the place was equipped a pack and play. We didn't rent a car but found lots of great food spots within walkable distances and loved strolling on both sides of the peninsula. Looking forward to visiting again

Needs updating for the price we spent.
Stove top did not have any indicators that were painted on to knobs. All worn off causing burnt foods. Many outlets did NOT hold electronics. Need replacement. Poor lighting at kitchen and dining room table. Just adding floor lamps with good lighting would help. The open bathroom concept in air bedroom is useless ,JUST ADD A DOOR OR EVEN A CURTAIN!!!!! This is way out of date and not useful when people stop by. As there is no toilet on first floor of unit. Second floor in general. Better way to enter condo than 2 keys. Keyless entry would be helpful with real key in lock box if keyless entry fails. Also common code to First floor to get into complex would be a great help. I DID NOT REALIZE THAT WASHER AND DRYER WERE NOT IN CONDO. Again high price for such a need in beach area. Time to add washer and dryer. The kitchen could have used more serving pieces. THERE WERE NO KITCHEN TOWELS. ONLY PAPER TOWELS. The person said they were on order: WHAT YOU DO IS BUY THEM AND DROP THEM OFF!! NO HEAT> COOL WINTER WEATHER. Owner had to be contacted. There were room heaters though. I will be asking for money returned as this place did not meet the standards as stated . I will go through VRBO.

Mission Beach Weekend
The property was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. We were able to walk to everything we needed and it was nice to have a beach so close. It was quiet at night. I will say it might be a challenge on hot summer days with no air conditioning, but the apartment cooled down quickly once we opened the doors. There are plenty of fans. We would stay there again. Both the host and the property manager were readily available to answer questions.

Be careful this place double booked us
We really only used this place as a sleeping spot we didn't spend any time in the house as it was too hot inside. Was 100°+ weather and there was no air conditioning at all. the house never did cool down. The garage door stuck and the keypad didn't work well so it's very hard to get into the house to get the key. Took us a half an hour and several tries to get the lock to open the garage door. And parking is tricky so be careful. They double booked us and didn't pay attention to the contract dated a month prior to catch an error so kicked us out a day early as they had double booked it. And they tried to charge us extra money for the inconvenience of kicking us out. Not a bad place to stay really. the area itself makes up for the bad management of this place. It was clean had plenty of towels. Was just terribly managed. But I won't be staying there again. Which is too bad because if it was better managed and there was an air conditioning unit it would have been a nice place to stay.

We didn’t double book you! You just thought that, because of your travel arrangements, it would be acceptable to check out that evening, instead of the normal 10am check out time. We even had to get VRBO to call you to let you know you weren’t double booked and that if you didn’t leave then you would be charged an additional nights rent. I do appreciate that there was a mini heat wave at the time you stayed. Like most properties in the area, we don’t have A/C as its very unusual to get that hot at the beach, but we do provide lots of fans for the odd time that the heat is a problem. Parking in Mission Beach can be difficult during peak season, but we do have 2 dedicated and marked spots, and you never mentioned any problems with parking during your stay.

Nice property but no air conditioning
Access to the property was 2.5 hrs late, due to a late checkout of the previous tenant, late cleaning and damaged furniture, needed to be repaired. However, the property was clean, nicely furnished, with great views of the bay, and at walking distance from the ocean-front. The kitchen was well equipped and organized, and many amenities were available, including accessories for the beach. The main drawback was that the listing did not indicate the absence of air conditioning. During the Labor-Day weekend, the apartment was extremely hot and miserable to occupy. Fans were provided and located throughout the apartment, but they did not cool the place down, and they were very loud and noisy. We did feel like we were sleeping in a hot and humid wind-tunnel.

Beautiful on the bay
Check in/out was easy, perfect location, clean, well stocked. The way the property is designed made it easy to get a cross breeze going through the house, which is important for warm summer days. The views of the bay were spectacular and we watched the Sea World fireworks every night from the couch or balcony. The only thing that would have made it better is a bathroom on the main floor, but it wasn’t a huge deal. We would stay here again.

Well equipped. No AC I think. Lots of fans available. Kitchen had all we needed. We didn’t cook much but appreciated the seasonings, extra paper towel, trash bags etc. Stayed 5 nights and had enough shampoo, soap etc. Plenty of towels for 5 people. Walked to Belmont park. Just 1 block from pacific and directly on a little bay which is perfect for a slightly warmer and still water experience. Seemed like a party area but no problems at this particular location with noise. 5 miles to La Jolla. Close to airport and zoo and Old Town. Property manager very communicative and responsive although we had no problems and didn’t need anything. Enjoyed Olive Bakery. Guava Beach and Miss Bs were ok. Walked to cannonball at Belmont Park which was good.

This was a fantastic stay for the price. Great views from the balcony. There are stairs to get into property so unloading took some time. Like most places in CA. trucks dent usually fit in the parking spaces allotted, so it's good thing we love to scooter! Owner was super helpful throughout the entire trip!

Location is good, property clean and as expected. Unit had enough towels and beach towels, boggie boards and chairs. overall a good rental with nice space and easy walk to beach and bay right outside window. Master bed felt small and too soft for us. The master bathroom does not have a door and is open to bedroom. 2 large closets and extra blankets. Nice sliders to bay and walk/bike path is below unit..which is well used..as early as 5am and late as midnight. The 2 bedroom twin beds fine but rarely opened the slider as it is a shared balcony with all other units. Therefore that bedroom feels stuffy. 2nd Full bath was great. I did not realize the laundry is not in unit but shared, and only 1 washer working. Dryers were very hot even on low.

What a treat to sit on the balcony facing the bay! You get your own parking space, it's a 2 minute walk to the ocean, there are loads of eating establishments just steps from the condo (with many options for my vegan self), Nick, the rental manager was easy to work with, a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

My wife and I just stayed here for 5 nights. The description and photos are exact. The location is outstanding with great views of the bay and 2 blocks from the ocean. Good breakfast and lunch places within a couple blocks. The condo is very well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Also very nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas. Good communication with both the owner and manager. This is not a criticism but as described there is no air conditioning (most places don’t have air conditioning) but they provided multiple fans which helped. Just a bit warm at night. We would stay here again.

Lovely stay on the bay
My husband and I wanted a relaxing, fun ocean getaway and this condo on Mission Bay was a great choice. The balcony off the living room was a perfect spot to sit at the cafe table and chairs provided to sip coffee in the morning, wine in the evening and we even enjoyed a meal or two out there. Watching the light reflecting off the water at night and the bay come alive as the seagulls sang and the sun rose in the morning was a delight. The condo had all the kitchen neccesities and set up for me to cook when we decided not to go out. There is some noise from people walking or riding by on the boardwalk because it's right below where these units are located, but it wasn't enough to deter from our enjoyment. The bay provides a nice escape for families who want a quieter feel than Mission Beach as well as couples who are looking for a more intimate, romantic spot. There were also beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards provided in the unit so we could literally just step down the stairs and walk twenty steps to reach the bay's edge for a dip or sunbathing. If you want more than that, the San Diego Aquatic Center is right across the bay, a ten minute or less walk to get there and they have paddle boards, kayaks, sail boats, boats, jet skis and trampoline rafts for rent. If you're into the beach, just walk West and you'll be there in five minutes or less. Just a short walk to many restaurants too! We enjoyed Oceana Coastal Kitchen at the Catamaran Resort on multiple occasions and it's an easy ten minute stroll along the boardwalk from our condo. The resort has great outdoor seating looking out on the bay and live entertainment on certain nights. Note that this unit is not air conditioned, but it has a wonderful ocean cross breeze between the open doors and windows on each side of the unit that kept us cool and comfortable. Lastly, each night we had a fantastic view of Sea World's fireworks. All in all, this was a great location and we had a pleasant, relaxing stay.

Perfect location for quiet bay people watching, renting a sail boat and hitting all the places to eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Comfortably sleeps 4 adults with 2 full bathrooms and very large kitchen. Balcony is small but the beach is right there with plenty of beach chairs provided.

Perfectly located on the quiet Mission Bay side but it was a quick walk over to the ocean side. The quiet side was wonderful for the kids to enjoy both the beach and the calm waters. The bayside walk had plenty of activity for people watching . We we within walking distance of supplies, food, and fun activities. Every night ended with the cocktails on the deck watching the Sea World fireworks display!

This was a cute little home for us for a few days. It had everything we needed. Our biggest issue was parking. While there is a garage and outdoor spot, the garage had a ton of other people’s stuff and is shared. It made for a very tight fit for our 4 runner. The spot outside was very hard to get in and out of when other cars were parked. The garbage cans for another house were right behind our spot and made getting in and out even more tricky. The owner did state the garage size which was great, we were just surprised at how incredibly tight the spot was and the garbage didn’t help. However, when other cars were not parked getting in and out was much easier. Overall great place for a getaway.

Great Condo in a Great Location
Everything about this condo was great and as advertised. It was very clean and comes with everything possible for a great stay. It's close to everything: bay, beach, restaurants, mini-markets. We parked our car and never left. We walked everywhere for what we needed. The living room and main bedroom upstairs have great views - the sunrise in the morning is amazing. We took our dog. Please note, dogs are not allowed on the bay and beach sidewalks/area between 9am and 4pm (certain months of the year). So, we had to walk our dog elsewhere (e.g., Mission Beach Blvd, alley ways) during those hours. I would love to stay here again and will refer this place to all of my friends who visit San Diego.
