I am so glad that your son, his friends and your extended family had a great time celebrating his graduation at our vacation home. I had received an email from you the day after you arrived saying everything was excellent and no mention of the toilets or lights, so I am surprised to find this out two weeks after you checked out. We know how valuable cleanliness is to our guests so we have employed the same cleaning crew for over six years to ensure consistency and I inspected before your arrival. We keep things like lightbulbs stocked in the garage and we replaced the two in the string of track lights after your departure. We want to make sure our guests have an excellent stay so please don’t be shy about letting us know if we have missed something or if we can provide something to make your stay more enjoyable.

The glass coffee pot was broken by the guests before you and we had a spare pot with our supplies so we put it in its place until the replacement arrived. I didn’t realize it didn’t fit well. I am so sorry. We provide cleaning products for your stay so it was probably an oversight on the housekeepers part not to replenish enough dishwasher pods. We provide four rolls of TP per bath room and two rolls of paper towels per kitchen and usually that is enough. We just don’t have the ability to stock unlimited amounts. I’ll try to see what I can do to make it clear on the description that the pool house is separate. Unfortunately, VRBO doesn’t have a way to separate it on its site so I have to disclose the maximum number of bedrooms and maximum number of guests allowed and provide a description to explain it. Otherwise I would have to charge people who don’t need the pool house. The pool house is $600 flat for the duration of the stay. That includes taxes, service fees, supplies, housekeeper fees, etc. The main house sleeps 9 people comfortably. Any number over that the system charges $30 per person per night. I don’t want to charge people for the extra person fee and pool house so to be fair I subtract that fee from the fee of the pool house. For example, if you have 12 people for a week the fee would be 3x$30x7 nights or $630 so the pool house would be free. If you have 10 people it would be $600-$210 =$390 for the pool house for the week. I hope this makes sense.

We are glad you had a great time. I am so sorry about the dog hair. After the housekeepers finished my husband went over to replace the umbrellas around the pool and brought our black lab. He didn't realize until he was finished the dog had nudged open the back door and was in the house. He didn't think about running the Rumba. We have a dog Rumba at the home that gets it up even the dog hair you cannot see. The housekeepers run it anytime a dog is in the house. If I'd known I would have suggested turning it on. I highly recommend them to people with dogs.

One thing I love about renting VRBOs is being able to hang out together and cook. We strive to make our home one that people have as much fun at the house as seeing the sites. I'm glad you experienced that and hope to see you next time you are in San Diego.
