The room had zero view and the amount of natural light into the room was such that you need to put on lights every hour of the day. Of course this qualifies as a budget hotel, but even against that background, the hotel is very basic.

Good hotel
Good hotel in the center of SF. From here you can go anywhere by public transportation, shops and everything is around the corner. The hotel was good. Sometimes till late you hear noices from the bar but it didnt bother us, after all you are in the center.

Toplocatie
We hadden een kamer met eigen badkamer. Bed (queen) en kamer niet al te groot, maar wel netjes en schoon. Geen randzaken als koffiemachine, koelkast, e.d. Maar wel een sfeervol gebouw op een toplocatie vlakbij Union Square voor een betaalbare prijs.

Great for the money, and I like that the bar is attached. The city is what it is but I will say that over the last year or so I have noticed a big decrease in the number of homeless around the downtown areas.

Right up front: There were no staff in the building. They disabled our access cards (they say by accident), and when we got locked out, we had to go to a completely different hotel down the road to have them give us new Hotel Keys. The bathroom was filthy, the shower drain was clogged with hair. When we called to have someone come fix the clog so we could shower, nobody answered the phone, and we couldn't leave a message. They give you two keys, one for the outside door, and one for the hotel room. Managing these keys is cumbersome. You will need to flip between these keys to open the outer door, inner door (there's two doors, it's really stupid), activate the elevator (Which is already inside two doors), and then get into your hotel room. There is a Bar that is part of the hotel, and they prop the door open, which blocks the ramp into the hotel, so if you are in a wheelchair you are absolutely screwed. The elevator is terrifying, it creaks, groans, shudders, and jerks around. At night, the area becomes absolutely saturated with the homeless. Two women screamed at us for trying to enter the hotel when they were trying to sleep, and tried to shake us down for money. There was a ton of road construction, screaming, and even illegal fireworks being set off right outside our window. Literally, right outside our window. The blast blew the window open. Oh! The window! Hope you don't have kids, the Windows have no grate, screen, etc. If you open it, you can fall right out.

The room was clean, the place was quiet. the restaurant attached is unreasonably expensive for what it is, and is very busy so its tough to get in. But the neighborhood has plenty of good options and its close to Moscone for conferences. Two things bothered me about the stay: 1 is the elevator certification expired 2021 and the elevator is terrifying. You can tell you are dangling, and it bounces around while moving. 2 is there is some roof unit that sounds like a woman screaming every time it turns on. You get used to it for the most part, but i still woke up a few times to it even 4 nights in. Bring ear plugs is probably the right move. I would stay again if no other options were a good price.

I used the facility during JPM event. Premium location and great price compared to other hotels for the event . I wasn’t expecting a daily housekeeping. I brought my extra towels. Room clean . Check in/out in their sister hotel Stratford

Mediocre Accommodations in Union Square
The hotel room itself was functional. But the room lacked heat during a time when the weather was colder. There is a single old steam furnace in the room that is supposed to provide heating that did not work at all. Additionally, the tun was very slow to drain water, so taking a shower in the tub meant standing in a pool of soapy shower water.

The Bartlett was an excellent place to stay for one night. The location was perfect, being right near Union Square with lots of dining and shopping options. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. I enjoyed using the bathtub! It was great value.

Very clean! Fresh and Clean towels, blow dryer was available upon request, clean sheets and bedding! Felt very safe, requiring key card entrance at the door and elevator. Window was single pane, but nice breeze through the window. Not quiet, but that’s the neighborhood we’re in. Need to check-in around the corner at Hotel Stratford. Otherwise, wonderful stay! Will stay again!

Really well-located hotel - close to lots of public transit options, and even walkable if you have a little more time. Certainly not modern, but clean. The staff being at a sister hotel around the corner made it feel a little empty/isolated. While they're up front about it being bare bones (e.g. no daily cleaning, which I'm fine with) the lack of essentials like face cloths, extra blankets, and even a tub drain are a bit much. That said, I'd stay here again in the future.

There is no one at the front desk or anyone that is, to tell you that you have to pick up your key card at a different hotel around the whole entire block. No parking, the lobby is abandoned, there’s an old vending machine with nothing in it. And everything is dirty. The lobby does not have outlets for phone.

Ótima localização
O checkin é realizado em outro hotel, o Stratford, que fica bem, próximo. Caso tenha pago o depósito com cartão, pode ser realizado o self checkout. O hotel não possui serviço de armazenamento de bagagem. A localização do Bartlett é excelente, próxima a bares, restaurantes, farmácias, comércio e transporte público. A acomodação é confortável.

Achamos bem ruim porque não tem uma recepção no local, o chuveiro quase não sai água, não tinha toalha de rosto, não tem secador de cabelo ( solicitei na recepção do outro hotel, falaram que iriam mandar e nunca chegou, tive que comprar um), os produtos do banheiro também eram ruins, tinha um cheiro de pasta de dente. Não tinha nenhuma geladeira.

The biggest thing is that this place has a single toilet and a single shower for the floor. Like bring slippers because it has a shared shower for the floor. I've been to hostels with more facilities than this. The bed wasn't comfortable and there's not much ventilation where I was. Wasn't very enjoyable to me.
