'Very nice 1BR apt perfect for a couple. The only thing that didn’t seem completely on target was the ‘steps to the beach’ detail. I was expecting something VERY close to the beach. Beach access was limited & it took a bit of a walk to get to the beach. Everything else was accurate & as I expected. '

'My husband and I really enjoyed this place. It's right on the beach with lots of restaurants you can walk to. The owner left us some drinks and food to start us off so we didn't have to run to the grocery store right away. There were chairs and an umbrella for the beach and plenty of towels. She also has beach toys if you have children. It was a great place.'

'We really enjoyed our stay! We felt safe, perfect distance from Old San Juan about 10-15 minutes by car. Really liked bebo's BBQ a few minutes from the studio. Only thing is the shower had very low pressure and cold water.'

'Our stay was lovely. The hotel room was rather small but we had a huge deck to ourselves which was very nice - just be sure to bring bug repellent. Breakfast was delicious and i appreciated the 24hr tea and coffee service. Also, they have beach chairs and coolers for your use which is really helpful. '

'This stay is an amazing experience. We would definitely book again. Super accommodating and responsive host. Rosa is very friendly! Only steps away from the beach and restaurants/bars. There’s a supermarket on the corner to get groceries from as well. There’s a café in the lower level of the hotel that we got to enjoy, as well as super friendly and attentive staff in the building. 'We enjoyed our time at Mare and had a very good experience. The one issue is that what you see in the pictures is not necessarily what you will get and the rooms vary greatly. 'I arrived super late at night but it was super easy to get into the facility. I had a private twin bed and it was perfect for a four day stay. It was okay it could have been cleaner but it did the job! the showers were nice. Even the people staying there were really cool - invited me to play cards/drink. 'We didn't spend too much time in the room. Proximity to the beach was great. Bathroom, kinda rough. Very low water pressure and no hot water in the shower. The host came over to try and fix it but couldn't. A known faulty breaker hadn't been fixed so no hot water to the shower. I washed my hair in the kitchen sink.'
