'Elk Trace Bed and Breakfast was an incredible experience. The "big" house was incredible. Like a combination of a cabin / manor house. Beautiful on the outside and inside, nestled on 102 acres of pristine Colorado (San Juan Forrest) wilderness yet still fairly close to civilization in Pagosa Springs. The room was perfectly sized with a king bed. The place is dog friendly. The owner, Evelyn, even volunteered to watch one of our yappy dogs while we went on a carriage ride around the property...

'I really enjoyed my stay at Elktrace B&B. My hosts were great, and the scenery was amazing. I used Elktrace as a base for some day trips, The location worked out very well. Whether your goal is to actively enjoy the outdoor activities in the area, or to just relax and decompress this facility is ideal. The next time I’m in the area I will definitely consider Elktrace.'

'Nice tidy budget hotel that is run by a very fine gentleman from Poland. It is basic but clean and in good repair. A little hard to see from the main road, but consider it a slightly hidden gem. Modest but satisfactory breakfast (continental). We met interesting people from Australia, France, and Texas at this cozy, simple hotel. '

'Upon arrival I was checking in the person working proceeded to act very discussed when I brought to her attention we have service dogs 2 of them I also have all the proper paperwork she was very rude after that Then my husband went to see if the sell ice and rudely told him he would have to go to town but failed to share there was a near by convenience store so we had warm beverages I hope something is done to educate this women on how customer service works for both parties '

'The place is amazingly beautiful. Easy to check in and a lovely host. Everything is private. Watched deer on the golf course in the evening. Dog friendly. She does have friendly dogs also. The double shower was fantastic. The only thing not perfect was the super high bed. A sturdy safe set of steps was provided to get in. But if you fall out of it you will definitely break. I would happily stay here again.'

'Our stay was a very good one because Jessica a staff member. There was a mixup when we made the reservation thru Hotel.com, and she was extremely helpful and did an excellent job and made sure we had a place to spend the night. So because of Jessica our stay at Pagosa Lodge was great for the 5 humans and our pet!!'

Luckily, we stumbled upon opulent yet down home comfortable Keyah tucked outside the scenic mountain town of Pagosa. Keyah has a lot of great reviews and they deserve it as McKenzie makes a wonderful hostess and chef. The panoramic views and hikes are impeccable. This is truly a great American luxury destination spot.'
