Overall hotel and staff quality is high. I also liked cleanliness of facilities. Ocean is clean and beautiful. The only concern is availability of sun umbrellas in family section of the beach. 10 umbrellas per entire beach is no way enough!!!

The resort surpassed its pictures! Everything was beautiful and clean and the views were incredible. The waterpark was a huge hit with everyone in the family. There were great options for excursions. People were friendly and helpful.

Horrible experience, I paid for this stay via Expedia - so it was pre paid reservation. I was charge again for the room at the checking and as I was waiting for refund they charge me again for this stay. Also, the room type that I booked they overbooked so for first night I was staying in different room, worst than what I booked. This has been worst experience ever.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the beach, but could not walk far along due to it being partitioned off for the adults only side. We traveled with our young children. There was no seaweed in the water, and the surf was very calm. We also were not able to go into half of the all inclusive advertised restaurants due to them being in the adults only side. The worst part our trip was The Playa Collection salespeople hounding you every time you walk through the lobby. Avoid them at all costs! The hotel should really get rid of them! Very annoying! That really made the beautiful lobby less enjoyable. The food here was very good compared to other all inclusive resorts we have been to. The staff serves everything, so there is no cross contamination from other visitors. Very infection control friendly and clean! The water park was well kept and clean. The room was nothing special. Kind of on the small side for a resort, but it was kept clean and the air conditioning worked well. We could smell garbage burning a couple of nights, which irritated my eyes and throat. Would not be good for persons with respiratory issues.

The property is extremely well maintained. The beach is gorgeous with calm waters. We really loved the coffee shop in the lobby . Drinks were actually on a better side. Kids had fun at the kids club. The biggest disappointment for us given that it is Hilton was the food at the buffet. It lacked the variety and the taste was just blah. I mean, you wont stay hungry, but we have definitely seen better food options at other resorts. The resort has about 8 restaurants, we tried only Italian and French and it was simply mediocre. All in all we give it 4 starts because of the food.

we were refused service from a restaurant as they didnt like what one of my family members was wearing. casual dress and fam meb wearing a collared shirt, jewlery and shorts. they did not like the length of the shorts. This was a subjective opinion and didnt feel we were treated fairly. Also the room we booked which was ocean front on the listing was not the room we were given. we had very partial ocean view. Hotel couldnt accomodate as all rooms booked. Service was sooo slow. Nice location it is sad that this happened to us

We just left after spending a week at Hilton La Romana and already are planning our return next year. We went with a group of kids and grandparents and the resort was perfect for everyone. The food at the buffet was never boring or repetitive. We were excited each night to see the special surprises prepared. We did not feel the need to eat at the a la carte dining. The pools were lovely. The beach spectacular. And the water park was a hit! Like. Private water slide park with no lines! The only critique is that the gym is too small for the resort size. Especially crowded at peak hours. The staff were amazing. Everyone. From the dining service, the kids club staff, the house keeping crew, the life guards. Everyone was wonderful. Yes it’s true they speak Spanish but it’s a foreign country. Deal with it! Or stay home. Last - the nightly shows were absolutely beyond what we expected. Each night amazing and really blew away what we anticipated. The circus was especially great but the real star was Michael Jackson Show! Wow We are coming back next year. No doubt. And many guests we met said they were return visitors.

La propiedad es excelente, el personal son todos muy amables en especial los del restaurante Italiano y Clara la de limpieza de los cuartos es un amor muy servicial. No me gustó que tanto en el restaurante Sakura como en Mare no dan opciones para complacer al turista . En Mare pedí un frape y me dijeron que no se podía y la barra donde los preparan es exactamente la misma que la de la piscina. Igual en Sakura , pedi arroz frito u me dijeron que no se podía que eso solo se hacía en la mesa del show que queda a dos pasos de la mesas regulares. Tampoco había frape ni margaritas a pesar que todas las barras las preparan.
