'This hotel was perfect for our family trip to Ecuador to attend my daughter’s wedding. We took almost all of the rooms and the service, breakfasts, help in arranging taxis, was exceptional. The view from the rooftop is fabulous as well! The rooms were very large and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.'

And the hotel courtyard with a retractable roof was lined with hundreds of plants producing a beautiful atmosphere amid antiques adorning the property. The cafe was an old Conquistador dungeon giving it so much character, but it was only open for breakfast from 7-9 am. And the free breakfast consisted of eggs every day with bread, juice, coffee, tea and a variety of one...

'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '
