Negatief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
I feel this hotel had been falsely represented. This wasn’t my first trip abroad or to Central America. I’ve been around enough to know that things aren’t always what they seem…especially in pictures. I’m very flexible & accept adaptations. However, I actually felt deceived by the presentation of this hotel on Expedia.
Very disappointed in the room. The shower had a large panel with different controls (some missing) that were clogged (from not being cleaned properly) & sprayed water everywhere. Could only use the handheld sprayer with very little water pressure. There was black mold growing in the corners of the shower.
The sink faucet was extremely loose with only cold water. The ad showed nice, name brand toiletries - there weren’t any - just a couple of unmarked, clear plastic travel bottles filled with who knows what…
The 2 towels were worn & starting to fray. One was stained. I asked for 2 more towels the first night. They gave me 2 very damp towels - had to wait for them to dry. The bed did not have a fitted sheet but 2 flat sheets. So as you slept, the sheets came off, exposing you to the raw mattress (awful). The blue paint on the wall & side tables was chipping off with scuff marks. The walls (& bathroom) in general looked dirty. No hangers in the wardrobe. The entire room seemed neglected. Not inviting or comfortable in any way - UNLIKE what was presented.
The best part of our stay was meeting Alejandro. His great hospitality kept us from leaving.
