Yes, we made more effort than walking out the door across the sandy walkway, however, we would do it again and that's mainly due to the accessories provided by the Periwinkle cottages! So thankful for the beach chairs, umbrella, beach wagon AND the bikes!! We very much enjoyed biking down the street, maneuvering the sandy walkway to the beach. No problem. 'The place was well appointed. The walk to the beach was not as close as I would have liked but it was a short walk, less than three minutes. We picked this unit due to the rooftop porch. It was not as I had expected. My husband is only 205 lbs and we thought he was going to crack the steps going up, it made such an awful sound. Other than that, no complaints.'

'We loved our stay! The property is walking distance to the beach with a very nice bike path all the way there. There are also several business just around the corner - ice cream shop, breakfast, souvenir store, restaurant. We loved it. The cottage was spacious and the AC was very effective. The shower is small, but you can see that from the listing pictures. It was close to everything and we thought great value for the price. Would definitely stay again!'

'We had such a wonderful stay with our granddaughters! The bikes were a big hit and it was great to be right on the beach and next to the pool. The unit was spotless--and I am super picky! Evenings were quiet and peaceful, and there is plenty to do in the area. Highly recommend!'

'The cottage was cozy. Walking distance to shops on Periwinkle way. Place was clean and affordable. The Dutchess (service dog) enjoyed her stay as well. Loved that each room had its own ac unit. Loved going to the causeway and getting shells.'

'Nice and close to the beach. Very clean. Nice backyard with canal. Rooms comfortable.Might have been in details somewhere, but need to bring/buy things like hand soap, Kleenex, and such. Minimal kitchen items and dishes. Still a wonderful property but be just to know so you are prepared.'
