Laat het geluid van de golven op het strand je stress wegspoelen. Aloha ‘Oe dit strandhuis in Hawaiiaanse stijl heeft het allemaal!

Uitzicht op de oceaan en 3 minuten lopen naar het strand. Twee slaapkamers, twee badkamers, ruime indeling met een grote eetkeuken grote kamer, formele eetkamer, woonkamer met open haard. Dit huis is ideaal voor familiebijeenkomsten. Gerenoveerde en opnieuw ingerichte gastronomische keuken en grote kamer. Dit stijlvolle huisje strandhuis heeft alle nieuwe apparaten. De grote kamer loopt uit op een split-level dek. Dineren op de bovenste veranda met uitzicht op de oceaan en de lagune. Benedendek heeft een BBQ en een vuurplaats om te genieten met familie en vrienden.

De locatie van dit huis ligt op slechts een steenworp afstand van het strand. Santa Maria's (21e ave) is een van de mooiste stranden in Santa Cruz met surfen, boogieboarden, skimboarden, vissen en ideaal voor lange wandelingen. Verken de getijdenpoelen om zeeanemonen, zee-egels te vinden en kijk hoe de otters spelen. Deze locatie ligt dicht bij het leuke Santa Cruz. Boardwalk, de beroemde surfplek Pleasure Point en 41st Ave, waar u een verscheidenheid aan winkels en restaurants vindt. Minuten van Capitola Beach en de jachthaven van Santa Cruz, waar u beachvolleybal, kajaksverhuur en geweldige restaurants vindt.

Een ideale ochtend is wandelen naar koffie (Starbucks) en vervolgens nog eens 4 minuten naar het strand om van je koffie te genieten terwijl je de golven op het strand en de kliffen beneden ziet crashen. (Sunny Cove)

Binnen een uur rijden kunt u de volledige schoonheid van de baai van Monteray zien door de schilderachtige rit te maken naar Carmel, Seventeen Mile Drive, Pebble Beach Golf Coarse en het aquarium van Monteray Bay. Tussen ons huis en Monteray ligt Moss Landing, een ander prachtig gebied om te kajakken en de wilde dieren in de oceaan te verkennen.

Voorzieningen zijn onder andere een volledige gastronomische keuken, open haard, plasma-tv met videorecorder / dvd-speler, gas-BBQ, outdoor gas vuurplaats, wasmachine en droger, beddengoed, donzen dekbedden, veren kussens en handdoeken, zowel strand- als badhanddoeken. Een borg en schoonmaakkosten zijn verplicht.

We verhuren op een minimum van vier nachten in de zomer. De beste tarieven zijn voor verblijven van een week.

Couldn't be happier with our amazing long mother's day weekend at Hale Kai; the amazing location, setting and proximity to the beach, trails and amenities. Walking distance to restaurants... (highly recommend Lago De Como). Hale Kai has a very special vibe to it, quite chill and very inviting, the floor plan worked beautifully for us and our Santa Cruz family who found this to be the spot to hub out of for surfing, biking and beach walks. generous living and gathering spaces both in and outside. The outside decks and viewing veranda was definitely the party favorite and we all enjoyed a few meals al fresca with the view of the bay and sound of the surf. The full moon topped it all off making the entire journey quite magical, Aloha and Mahalo to our hosts.

what a lovely little place...secret hidden gem for sure...absolutely loved the layout and the decor...instantly felt at home...tip - back into the driveway and it'll be easy peasy to pull out when you leave...the deck was amazing and the fire pit a plus...even laid out on the deck to get some sun privately...you have such great views and you are concealed from outside eyes...kitchen was large and had all the tools you'd need and more...we never used the dining room but it was spacious for large family meals for sure...its was a little oasis tucked behind a wall of greenery that was just heaven...easy walk down to the beach if you so desired...loved the mudd room and the electronic keyless entry...cant say enough great things about this property...

We loved our time at this house! The decor and furnishings were just perfect, homey, and cozy! Having a washer and dryer was a huge bonus! They thought of everything! The view out the back windows, the outside decks were beautiful! The decks could’ve used a little pressure washing but still beautiful nonetheless. Backing out of the driveway onto the main road was somewhat tricky at times but nothing can be done about that. The proximity to the beach and everything else was great! Overall, loved it and would stay here again!

I booked my family and I this VRBO for a place to all stay together for my brother’s wedding. There were 6 of us and my 4 year old niece. It was everything advertised! Beautiful views from the patio, gorgeous walk to the beach, and walking distance to a Starbucks, which we appreciated. Although, there is a coffee machine in home as well! It was a perfect place to have meals together and get ready for my brothers wedding, and not a far drive to Los Gatos. My only feedback- the pull out beds are more of a full size bed instead of a queen, so if you plan to have people sleep on them, you may want to account for one adult on the pull out bed instead of two. The couch was comfy, so I slept there while my husband took the pull out! Host was very responsive and helpful, and there are tons of board games/coloring supplies for kiddos!

Not enough room for all the stars I’d give this rental. Comfy clean and spacious; as good or better than the pictures. Every item you would ever need in the kitchen, every item you would ever need for your time on the beach. Deck area is spectacular, close to the beach great views. Parking! Yes! Our family stayed for just under a week at this property. We enjoyed our visit but would likely not return to this property. Great: Location, with a view of the lagoon and beach, lovely outdoor dining area and sitting area with a firepit to sit at night. Good: The host was communicative, outdoor grill, nice assortment of beach chairs, body boards, and family games were provided. Bad: Showers leaked, obvious long-term rental with a lot of deferred maintenance (e.g., bathroom stair detached, hole in wall) stained sheets and towels, debris under couches and beds, etc. The patio door looking out over the lagoon was lovely to keep open, but there was no screen, so bugs would fly in starting around 4 p.m. Ugly: Ventilation fans did not appear to work, mustiness spell permeated the rental, mold in several areas, especially bathrooms. As a result of the mustiness, we ended up leaving a day early.

This property was very well set up, comfortable and was very clean. The little one really liked the front and back yards. We all enjoyed the short walk to the beach at Corcoran Lagoon. Within walking distance to some restaurants and grocery stores. In inclement weather, there were lots of movies and books. Very easy to work with the owners, who were very responsive to our questions. Highly recommended!

We came to stay at Hale Kai just a few days after all the big storms that had hit Santa Cruz this January 2023. I was coming from the East Coast to see my son and daughter in law and meet my new granddaughter for the first time. Lori kept us up to date on how their place was doing during the storm. Hale Kai was not affected even though it is so close to the beach. I knew we were just coming to visit and spend time together. Being originally from Santa Cruz, we didn't need to do any real sight seeing. The house was darling. Made you feel like you were staying in a Sweet Hawaiian Bungalow. The house is furnished beautifully with lots of Hawaiian furniture and memorabilia. There is a fireplace that works in the living room, but we chose to spend most of our time in the family room right off the kitchen. For a rental. this house had just about everything you need to cook in style. I was very impressed by the great assortment of everything you need to make a gourmet meal. The dining table in the formal dining room easily fits 8-10 for sit down dinner or there is the sit up center bar with stools in the kitchen. The bathrooms were filled with everything one might need in case you forgot something. I would love to go back and use their back patio and gas fire area when the weather is better. There is an awesome beach and ocean view from the family room and also on the upper deck seating outside area. I can't say enough good things about Hale Kai. I look forward to staying again in the future. We had just a wonderful, relaxing time with the 4 of us. I can't wait to rock my baby girl on the front porch in the big rockers surrounding the lush hawaiian gardens the next time we come. This is one of those precious gems that you want to keep to yourself and not share how wonderful it is, but I just can't. Great job Lori on the fine communication and Beautiful Home. We really loved this house and it’s location. You can walk to the beach. It’s a short drive to Capitola, Soquel, and other places. We brought my 88 year old Mom out for a reunion with our family, which included grand & great grandchildren. The house had plenty of outdoor room , as well as indoor. We would love to stay there again!

Beautifully updated home with Hawaiian vibe in a welcoming neighborhood! Spacious kitchen and dining areas, with comfortable family and living rooms. This house has everything!! We loved our short walk to the beach and beautiful views of the deck from the back decks. It’s right off of a pretty main road it we weren’t bothered by traffic noise at all! Great place for families. The kids loved the toys and tons of VHS movies. Blast from the past.

I stayed at this house for my 5 year-old-son spring break and my older parents. The house was in great location very close to the boardwalk which my son enjoyed. Also short drive to roaring camp railroad which I also recommend. My son and I enjoyed walking to the beach to watch the sunset and she had plenty of beach toys so you dont have to worry about bringing your own. I am sure we ill come back in future!

My family and I stayed at the house for a week. It was a perfect family house! Everything was easy (booking, communication, check-in and out), and the house was clean on arrival. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and it was perfect for hosting BBQs with friends. The beach was visible from the back and very easy to get to (a short walk). I would highly recommend this house.
