Welkom bij Turkish Delight in Seaside - 52 Odessa Straat

Turkish Delight is een mooi gastenverblijf die perfect is gelegen halverwege tussen het strand en Westside Pool; het is gewoon een 2 minuten lopen naar ofwel!

Deze romantische, gezellige huisje ligt langs een afgelegen voetpaden Seaside's. Hoewel dit huisje dient als pension voor zijn woonhuis, Crisobel, omwille van privacy wordt geboden door de weelderige tuin, zul je nooit zien de verbinding - tenzij je wilt.

Bij binnenkomst, bevind je je in de open woon-en eetkamer die uitkomen op een eigen terras. Een kleine keuken is uitgerust met heteluchtoven en vaatwasser, en een wasserette kast met wasmachine / droger combinatie ronden de eerste verdieping.

Een brede houten trap leidt naar de prachtige koningin loft slaapkamer suite omringd met ramen die uitzicht op het landschap te bieden en brengt het zonlicht binnen en uitgerust met een flatscreen-tv en stereo-installatie. De ruime badkamer met glazen wanden douche completeert de tweede verdieping. De afzondering en de inrichting van dit huis zorgt voor een koele serene gevoel elke keer dat je door de deur loopt.

Geniet van Turkish Delight als een uitje voor een groep van twee, ideaal voor een stel, een tiener of een grootouder-suite voor een familievakantie. Hoe dan ook, het is perfect.

Een beetje over WAT MAAKT AAN EEN SPECIALE vakantie-ervaring

Het idee achter Seaside kwam van 1946, toen de grootvader van toekomstige oprichter Robert S. Davis kocht 80 acres van land langs de kust van Noordwest-Florida als zomerverblijf voor zijn gezin. In 1979 erfde Davis het pakket van zijn grootvader, en erop gericht om te zetten in een ouderwetse badplaats, met traditionele houten frame huisjes van de Florida Panhandle.

Drie decennia geleden de stad van Seaside werd opgericht. En dat is een deel van de magie van de zee. Het is een stad. A Florida badplaats. Het is charmant, bevallig, eclectisch, authentiek, romantisch. Maar Seaside is niet alleen een badplaats. Het is een plek waar familie en vrienden kunnen verbinden met elkaar en met de schoonheid die wemelt in deze speciale hoek van de wereld.

Location was perfect! Short walks to everything. Seaside became our favorite beach town! The little cozy guest house was perfect for a short stay. We are looking for a place to possibly stay a little longer as snowbirds, but don’t think we could manage that for longer than a week here. We ate most of our meals out at the many fun places around town. Cooking a full meal would be a challenge in the tiny kitchen. The bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was wonderful after a day at the beach followed up at the lap pool. We had a fabulous time!

We loved our stay at Turkish Delight, and I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone else (as long as you weren't booked during a time we'd like to book, that is...) I would make two recommendations to the property manager, though: 1.) the place needs a cutting board; and 2.) it can also use sink sponges. We missed these two items. Thank you for the great long-weekend.

We really enjoyed this property. Turkish Delight is a cozy cottage that is perfect for two people. It is very close to the pool and the beach and a very short walk to the shops and restaurants. The kitchen is tiny. There is a very nice ice maker in the small fridge, but no freezer. It worked well for us because we ate out or had premade food from Publix. The lap pool is now offering food which was fabulous. It is literally steps from the cottage and the food was good. There isn’t a TV downstairs, so you have to watch TV in bed. We spent most of our time outside so it really didn’t bother us. A couple “cons” Everytime we opened the door to the washer the door would push against the thermostat and turn the heat on. They don’t have deep fitted sheets so your sheets keep coming off the bed once you get in it. The property manager and maintenance were very helpful for the couple things we needed. When we didn’t have a corkscrew in the kitchen, they went out and bought one and delivered it to us.

We enjoyed our stay. It was an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The carriage house was perfect for a couple. It was cozy with cute furnishings. The location was great.

Super cute and close to beach. It’s small but good for 2. Negatives are they had 3 glasses, dryer doesn’t work, bed isn’t comfortable and a/c takes forever to cool off. They also only give 4 bath towels ( I asked for more and they did bring me a ton 😍) This is our 2nd time to stay. I assumed some stuff may of been fixed or updated since no one had said it in a review. I always leave positive reviews or none. But if you pay this price it should be fixed in my opinion .

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was near the beach and had all we needed. We were only there for a long weekend. If you are staying longer, the kitchen did not have alot of cooking utensils/pots/pans. But plenty of restaurants nearby to eat out and a cute market in town. We rented bikes to get around instead of renting a car. Private beach area. Very nice stay overall.

The location is very very good BUT the house is extremely tiny, and air does not flow upstairs at all. The house was filthy, blinds, TV, bed, chairs covered in dust. There was also sand under the bed and table, and 2 of the towels were dirty. The pictures make this place look bigger then it is, and I mistakenly thought the wrong house pictures were listed on VRBO!!! The wide angle of the pics that make it look better than it is, but my fault for not reading prior reviews. Your clothes cannot be put or hung up, so they have to stay in your suitcase and the bed and pillows are very uncomfortable. The washer/dryer all in one unit takes A LONG TIME to wash and dry. Hours actually...so bring towels. I stay at Seaside every summer, and have rented many places on VRBO never posting a negative review, but in my opinion this cottage is not worth the money/ fees, as their are so many other places available. We arrived very late due to delays, but I was able to get through to Best Beach Getaways when they opened the next morning, and they sent a cleaning crew in immediately. I dealt with Erica, who was super helpful and she did try to help us find another rental, but none were available. She was in constant communication, even providing her cell phone, and I felt she truly tried her best to remedy the house issues within her limitations.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy seaside guest house. for what we needed was a good size. Be aware if you need to do any laundry the dual wash dyer takes hours to wash and dry . 6 to be exact for 4 towels. Owner may need to address mold in the shower area. And even though only two of stayed there having only two forks and two spoons was a little inconvenience. Also if you bring hang up clothes there is not a closet so have to use two hooks in bedroom just be prepared to live out of suit case. Love seaside town and less than 2 min walk to beach. We loved our visit.

Property was clean and easy to access and in a beautiful part of the neighborhood. It was about three blocks to walk to the main square at Seaside. There is private beach access as well which was nice. My husband and I overall enjoyed our stay. Main floor has a small seating area and small kitchen nook. There are winding stairs to take you to the upstairs loft area which has a bathroom and bed. The upstairs area does get warm compared to the downstairs area. The fan upstairs does not have a very high speed either. And the bed is more stiff than we prefer. But overall for a quick stay that’s close to seaside we would stay here again! Thanks for all your help!

Unfortunately the tree limbs haven’t been trimmed in a very long time, they hung over the metal roof and make the worst screeching sound all day and night. I spoke with the management but they didn’t fix the problem. The noise kept us from sleeping at all it was awful! They could have cared less that we were unable to rest and enjoy our stay.

First off the location was wonderful. The place is super cute. Some things needed attention the first night the upstairs was super hot, the fan wouldn’t get off slow mode. The air was looked on 68, it was 68 downstairs but not upstairs. The coffee pot was broken. So day one & two repairmen were in and out. The next morning a repairman let himself in while I was in the shower. Not Okay! Can you imagine if I was a younger girl there. This is Not Okay. Also the bed needs some help, super hard and needs new pillows. We went and bought new pillows & a fan. I would if brought from home if I knew. Lastly give a warning about the 4hr a load for that washer/dryer combo you have. Tell guest to bring multiple beach towels since none are provided and you can rewash daily because it takes to long. We were so excited to come on a couples get away, we weren’t expecting this. This wasn’t worth the money spent. Thank you, Amy

The house was in a perfect location, convenient to everything in Seaside. The bed definitely needs to be addressed, small and uncomfortable. The other issue is that most of the beaches in Seaside are private beaches. The public beaches are small crowded sections. Seems as if they are trying to push out tourist. Nice to visit, but will head to Destin, Fort Walton or Panama City next time
