It has become our happy place - hanging out in the sleeping porch elevated in the trees, reading and napping the lazy days away, going kayaking whenever the mood strikes, and hearing the loons at night. 'This house is well situated for fun on the Red Cedar River. Having 3 extra bedrooms for our family gathering helped everyone get a good night's sleep. It also provided some privacy for my daughter who is on chemo treatments for breast cancer. I highly recommend this rental.'

'This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall. '

'The cabin was clean and big then I expected. Maybe move the TV a different spot or a little left by the table though. It was quiet all the time we went. We catched a lot of fish. Large bass, pike, crappie, bluegill and two muskie!. I recommended the cabin.'
