'As others have said the stairs were a killer - but it was so worth it for the amazing views (from two terraces). The property was huge and with loads of interesting features (including a canon and seagulls hanging from the ceiling). It was a fabulous place to just ‘be’ and spend time relaxing. There were a few bits in need to repair (including one of the banisters, which was very wobbly) but that’s a minor quibble in an otherwise lovely stay.'

'The Villa was in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance of many major tourist attractions, including the Acropolis. This made it very convenient for exploring the city.However, the Villa itself did not fully meet our expectations. The second bathroom was located downstairs, away from the bedrooms, which made it inconvenient — especially for a group of six adults. It was also quite small and challenging to shower in. The bedrooms were a reasonable size, but sharing just one bathroom...

'Our experience of living at the Ilona Villa was unquestionabely wonderful! From the moment me and my other 14 friends arrived Ilona welcomed us into our home and gave us the grand tour. The house is absolutely amazing, even better than the pictures online and everything is in great condition with the style of the house conveying a traditional yet eclectic feel to it when you arrive. One minor disadvantage is that the owners do live on the second floor, of which we were at first slight hesitant...
