'We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The only drawback was the Wi-Fi, which took several attempts to connect and was inconsistent. We didn’t use the pool.'

'We had a good week. The location was excellent and the cottage was comfortable. Although there is well equipped kitchen, there was no bread knife, which I would have expected. It was good to have a bath and shower but the electric shower above the bath was leaking down the wall so we didn't use.'

'Charming 3-level cottage with very cosy tv-lounge on lowest level. Street-level entry is to the kitchen area and main bathroom and 2 bedrooms are upstairs. Freshly decorated and clean. Bigger cars will struggle navigating the tiny lanes to park outside the property; that said, a rather large builder's van working across the road had no trouble. Overall, very good.'

'River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. 'What a great find. We needed a place that was big enough to accommodate all our family and this did not disappoint. Spacious rooms, fabulous garden and brilliant location. Everything you could possibly need for your stay was catered for. The house was spotlessly clean. We all loved it and looking forward to booking again for next year. '

'This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

'The cottage was attractively decorated and furnished and was very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The information handbook was comprehensive.It was very clean and well maintained and was also in a wonderful location with beautiful scenery all around it.The only downside was the bathroom and the lack of shower screen and wall mounted shower.
