'Well situated on high hilltop great view of lake . Property has gated entrance . Seems like a safe environment. No air con it was quite hot when we were there those accustomed to air con would not be comfortable . those that do not need tempature control would find it a safe clean well situated venue'

'Beautiful stay at the oakhurst farm cottages. Farm shop had lots of food choices for an easy meal or a braai. Lovely meal baskets and a wonderful facility with lots of different options and things to do. Would love to head back in the future!'

'This is our new favourite when we are in the George area. The amenities are excellent. Walking distance to York St where you can find restaurants, bars, fuel stations, etc. The location is seriously awesome, close enough to get onto the N2 to head either toward Mosselbay/Cape Town, or toward Wilderness, Knysna area. 'Some debris from other guests was left in the room and the carpets could have been cleaner. Wifi access was very poor. Fridge was not working when we arrived and staff fixed it, but it took time. There had been a sponge in the kitchen the first day, but then it disappeared. Staff was friendly and the property was in good repair.'

"The hotel unfortunately is a bit run down, neglected maintenance and during our stay they were renovating Spa (closed), Lifestyle Center (closed), phone system & water system (brownish at times) which is a lot at one time. We found the entry exit procedure extremely annoying, scan vehicle, scan drivers licence, call hotel to open barrier and when they don't pick up you're left there standing. Each and every time you leave! Also ocean view (at extra cost) from our room very debatable as the golf course in front is completely built with private houses. They are your view! Chairs on our balcony full of bird droppings and not cleaned during 3 day stay, swimming towels not delivered to pool and...also annoying you can't book anything to your room so need to carry your card at all times. All in all definitely not a 4 star experience. "
