The space
Serendipity was born 17 years ago and given its name when the owner happened to stumble upon the land by chance, and hence the start of a great love affair. A wooden Chattel house was built the same year. The house was knocked down and rebuilt in 2023 in a completely innovative design, to take advantage of the out-of-this-world panoramic views and Atlantic Breezes.
Situated on the top of a hill within 10 1/2 acres of its land, the newly built split-level house offers complete privacy, and easy Caribbean living including unmatched vistas and views of the Sea and a stunning backdrop of Hackleton Cliff. One can see views of 180 Degrees from Peko Tenerife to Ragged Point Lighthouse.
Serendipity is often photographed and published in magazines for its stunning views and is also a favorite holiday location for artists and writers. During the year when the property is not rented, it has and can be used for Weddings, Events, and film sets.
The house is located 5 minutes by car to many small beach inlets including Martins Bay and Concept Bay.
Cattlewash and the nearby Bathsheba offer wonderful long beach walks or just to chill out and cool off in rock pools—surfing and swimming (only for the accomplished and skilled and confident swimmer). Bathsheba otherwise known as the Soup Bowl, is famous for its local and international surfing competitions that take place annually, attracting surfers from all over the world.
The ground floor apartment opens out into a huge Private patio with a pool and BBQ. The patio then moves out into beautifully landscaped gardens leading onto multiple terraces. Fruit and coconut trees dotted throughout the property.
The property is new and offers a high standard of living, equipped with quality linens, towels, and full kitchen equipment.
Two double bedrooms offering either two large king beds or 4 single beds. One en suite bathroom. A large open-plan kitchen and the living room opens onto a covered patio area. The owners own the upstairs flat and stay at the property from time to time, they do not use the gardens when guests come to stay as they understand the need for peace and privacy.

Guest access
Electric gates open onto a long sweeping drive up to the house and guests' front door. The entire downstairs, patio and gardens are for the use of the guests. We offer Complimentary local breakfast items
for your first morning. Consists of bread/toast, eggs, jams and spread, selection of teas and coffee. Cold beer on hand for your arrival!

We have a lock box for late check-ins.
Other things to note
We do not allow large groups of people to use our property on the platform. We do not allow parties of over 6 people or (8 if we are advised of this ahead of time). No events of any type are allowed and will be shut down.
