Yes, some parts of Bali are overrun with tourists and rubbish. However, we’ve been here for a couple of weeks now and we’ve seen many beach clean ups being organized, plus single-use plastic is restricted, so yay to this Bali!

Whenever I hear people complaining because Bali is too touristy, I would like to remind them that it’s a pretty big island, and visiting ‘Western hotspots’ is not compulsory! You can always find places with not many other people around, and in some cases you don’t even need to travel far. This is Seseh Beach, less than 15 minutes away from Canggu by scooter!

'Wana Kubu was a 5 star experience in a clean comfortable homestay. Scdeduled their airport pick up service and was picked up at 1:00 AM by Jaiya, one of the hosts. Didn't need to settle bills until next morning. Room was sparse but clean and quiet and comfortable in newer building. Next morning breakfast was provided for a small charge and tasted good. 'We came here after we fled from our first booked hotel (boho Bingin beach hotel) We came in a total opposite world! Everything was clean, staff was super helpful and friendly. Would 10/10 recommend this hotel! The rooms are clean and ac is working. We had a room with an outdoor shower which is amazing.
