'Check-in was great. The Castaway Cottage was just how it was listed. The back porch was the best part, it was big enough for the whole family to hang out. Unfortunately when we were there it was very hot and the ceiling fans on the porch did not work. Maintenance came to try and fix them but he could not. He even came back a second time to give us another remote control to try. It did not work either. He didn’t get it fixed but was very nice and was very prompt to come out and try and fix it. He...

'Beautiful home with serene views of the river, very quiet and peaceful. River access was easy with stairs right to it and TWO decks over looking. The screen porch is an added bonus with hot tub. Plenty of towels, washing clothes provided. Check in was very easy & communication was great! The pup enjoyed it as much as we did, the weather was very hot (recird breaking) the window units kept up the best they could to keep us cooled. 'We had a fabulous weekend getaway at this property. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location is great for access to hiking trails and the Shenandoah mountains. When we arrived, the hot tub was not cleaned and was cold but the owners responded right away and got the cleaners to arrive within a couple hours to clean it. They were extremely responsive and answered all questions quickly. '

'We had a great stay at this cabin! Host was responsive and gave many ideas of what to do. The cabin was cozy and it was a perfect stay! A must see is the caverns about 20-30 min away. We drove a Subaru Outback suv and had no problem with the road going up to the cabin, if it snows it can be slippery and icy going down, drive very slow. Overall 5 star stay! Thanks '
