A simple setup at Platypus on the shores of Lake Tinaroo near Tolga on Queensland's Atherton Tablelands. A chair and two camp tables as combination camp kitchen and office, then a hammock tied between the Landy's roll bar and a big old beautiful kauri pine tree - a work of art with the backdrop of Lake Tinaroo as the canvas.
The impressive "Curtain Fig Tree" at Yungaburra in the Atherton Tablelands of North Queensland. It has aerial roots which drop 15 metres to the ground. Cool huh?
Dinner Falls is a lot less popular than some of the other waterfalls on the Tablelands, and the fact that there are a variety of plunge pools means you're guaranteed to get a spot all to yourself! #waterlust www.cheskiesgaplife.com
The oldest tree in OZ. The photo cannot describe how large it is. Hidden away in the Tablelands rainforest, it is worth the trip.
Mount Hypipamee Crater in the Atherton Tablelands of Queensland is a huge diatreme that is 61 metres in diameter and 82 metres deep. And the water surface is covered with duck weed.

Het complex is wat verouderd en de 5 sterren zijn naar mijn mening twijfelachtig. Geen portier aanwezig om te assisteren met koffer als je aan komt bijvoorbeeld. Ook is het binnenste van het hotel in de openlucht gebouwd, daardoor hoor je de liftbel continue als iemand tussen de 3 en de 9 verdieping ...
