'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 'A hotel at a great location on the golf court, with a fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately the state of the building is not as nice as the picture shows, and the windows are desperately requiring maintenance. Service was OK, but I was given 2 single beds instead of a double bed, and they neglected to inform me that Wifi was free of charge. A lot of apologies, but not really what I expected for the price paid. Still an interesting experience and the restaurant made up for it.'

'Lovely welcome. Glass of Prosecco on arrival. Very clean, comfortable quiet room with lots of nice little extras. We didn’t eat in the evening but enjoyed a nice full English breakfast. Will definitely return.'
