The entrance to the property threw me as it was behind the parking lot of a defunct closed strip mall and at first, I wasn’t sure the approach was taking me to the right place.. when you arrive and park, there is a 24/7 lobby that is not staffed, there I found a basket with an envelope and my name on it which contained a passcode to the common area and my room. 'We had 2 rooms, and one had a faint smoke smell, same as the entrance and lobby. We had a lot of trouble with the door keys for both rooms, as did the staff that tried to help us. The halls were very warm, and while the AC in the room worked well it made leaving the room uncomfortable, especially when we got locked out a couple of times! Breakfast was good. 'The Spark is in most ways a pretty standard corporate hotel on the west side of Cleveland. However, a few things make this property stand out, especially for dog owners. We were greeted by Eula at the front desk who could not have been more helpful and nice.
