LE PAPILLON - "Ik zou gewoon op dit terras kunnen leven"

Le Papillon geniet van een van de beste locaties op St. Martin, met veel heerlijke restaurants in de buurt en een strand dat dichtbij privé is en ideaal voor lange wandelingen.

Met uitzicht op het hele strand van Simpson Bay is het comfortabele appartement van 2150 vierkante meter uitgerust met alles wat een bezoeker nodig heeft. De lange lijst van onze luxueuze voorzieningen wordt hieronder getoond.

Gasten zijn welkom met een drankje. Een selectie drankjes is te vinden in de koelkast en in onze gratis bar.

Op loopafstand vindt u een grote selectie restaurants. Om er een paar te noemen:

Skip Jack - lokaal vissersrestaurant; Bamboe - geweldige sushi en meer; Top Carrot - vegetarische en gezonde maaltijden; Avantika - zeer elegante plek met Thaise keuken; Sale & Pepe - geweldige Italiaanse plek; Toppers - Amerikaanse keuken; Yacht Club - een geweldige plek om boten te zien die in de lagune aankomen en drinken; Pizza Italië - nog een Italiaanse keuken; Palapa Grill - bekend om geweldige steaks en meer; Atlantico - een geweldige bakkerij
Sommige restaurants zijn zelfs toegankelijk zonder je schoenen aan te doen. Dat omvat Karakter, Maria's zegen en El Zafiro. Ze kunnen op het strand worden genoten.

Het gebouw zelf is in 2014 voltooid. Het was moedig ontworpen en gebouwd door een arts die eigenaar was van het pand. Het gebouw is zo goed gemaakt dat zelfs met orkaan Irma we minimale schade hadden, hoewel het hele dak van onze buren op dit gebouw terecht kwam. We hadden veel decoratieve beschadigingen maar gelukkig niets belangrijks.

Simpson Bay Area wordt erg populair. Er zijn enkele redenen waarom:
Er zijn slechts 2 stranden op dit eiland die geweldig zijn voor lange ontspannende wandelingen, en dit is er een van.

Mensen hebben hier geen auto nodig om naar plaatsen en goede restaurants te komen. Ze voelen zich hier niet geïsoleerd.

En ook omdat Simpson Bay een mooie combinatie is van toeristische en lokale cultuur. Het was vroeger een vissersdorp en het heeft nog steeds iets van die charme. Deze combinatie maakt dit gebied veiliger en minder druk.

Wonderful Property

Family of 4 with a 7 day stay. Absolutely loved every second. Very easy beach access and wow what a view. Great location to restaurants. Communication was very good and the additional boat trip was so worth it. Would stay here again for sure.

Wow, just wow

We stayed in this property for one week in April 2025. There were four of us, two adult adults and two teenagers. There was plenty of space for everybody. This rental was amazing. Pictures are accurate, but don’t do the place justice as the view is fantastic. And having the beach outside of your door is just chef’s kiss. Arrival and departure instructions were spot on. The property manager was very easy to connect with. The property was also very convenient to the main airport. The property felt very safe and secure. The elevator was super helpful as the entry was on the third floor. There was ample safe parking (consider renting a small vehicle as the parking lot is small but adequate). Property is walkable to some fantastic restaurants and a small convenience store. We would definitely rent here again.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful property inside and out. Pretty much your own private beach. Communications with owner were answered promptly. We drank our morning coffee on the beautiful terrance overlooking the beach. We will definitely go to this place again.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Papillon. The apartment was beatiful, spacious and impeccably decorated. The incredible porch ran the whole length of the apartment and looked right out onto Simpson Bay, the beach, the boats and the sunsets. The private steps down to the beach were an added bonus. Simona was a great host. We had one snafu with a grocery order that she jumped in and resolved in less than a day. We can't recommend this place enough!

Absolute Heaven!!!

The pictures don’t do the condo justice. Everything was immaculate and Simona was a pleasure to deal with. The building is super secure, the location perfect, the views to die for and the beds absolutely amazing (seriously where can one purchase these mattresses). Everything one could need is provided and this truly was a great place to call home while on island. I will definitely return again to this beautiful home!!

First time to SXM

My husband & I and our friends stayed at Le Papillon. It was in a perfect location and the pictures are exactly how the condo looks. The property manager Simona, was very pleasant and helped us when needed. It’s a perfect distance from the airport where we could see the planes come into Maho beach. It was also very nice to have drinks in the fridge when we arrived. They also let us take a look at the penthouse which we just might use our next visit! The ocean was a bit rough so we didn’t get to utilize the kayaks but those, and beach chairs, are available for use. The elevator wasn’t working the week we were there but being in the 3rd floor it helped work off all the amazing food we had on the island. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful up-to date condo.

We are yet to be disappointed it is great unit. We love breakfast on the balcony. The close proximity to all of our favorite places to eat and shop. Best of all this beach is the little hidden gem of St. Maarten. Clearwater and shade from the palm trees.

The property is located right in the beach and walking distance to many amenities. The property is exactly as shown on photos. Simona, property manager and Lorraine, housekeeper, always available to answer queries. We truly enjoyed our stay. Great stay on a great island

Everything that you would need is in this condo unit. Great location great beach front great patio. The beds were very comfortable the bathrooms were very nice great rain shower head. We intend on coming back and staying in this unit. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. But now we found our new spot on a great island. We could not be more thrilled with the location. We spent much less time in the car than other years. Do everything that we needed was a short trip instead of a long trip.

Perfect Stay!

This place is absolutely perfect! If you have any hesitation, don't. The view, the terrace, the location, the comfort and usability of the space, and the bed- so, so, so comfortable. You can also walk straight down a staircase directly from your terrace to the beach. We walked to restaurants most days and felt safe doing so, but we also had a rental car to see the island. You have a designated parking spot in a gated space, if safety is a concern for you. Absolutely loved our stay and communication with the owner was awesome!

Best location on the island

I can not say enough about my stay at Le Papillon. In fact I extended it for 2 more weeks than I had originally planned. The condo is well appointed, and had everything I needed. I spend most of the time outside on the deck starting with my morning tea and ending watching the sunset. It was very conveniently located to Mary's Boon and Karakter beach bars. I only had to drive occasionally during my stay there. When I return, I will definitely stay there again.

Perfect for a family vacation

It was my first time in St. Maarten and we couldn't have been happier with the island and the property. There was plenty of room and things to do for my travel party which included my wife , in laws and young children. The outdoor patio was an oasis and worth it alone but the beach was also beautiful and private and my boys enjoyed playing in the sand and water. We were a group of 14 that rented both the penthouse and the neighboring 2 bedroom unit for 2 weeks; amazing stay in Simpson Bay. The apartments were very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for our large group. We loved getting up to watch the sunrise right from our lanai and watch the sunset at the same spot. The views are amazing and watching the sailboats and yachts everyday too was fun! Everything was really spectacular and we hope to be able to stay here again!

I hate to write this review because it means the vacation is over. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Papillon. The unit is perfect and the little touches provided by Simona are wonderful. The beach is beautiful and almost private. The airport, restaurants and supermarkets are all within 5 minutes.
