Gelegen in het hart van Pelican Key, is er een nieuw, klein condominiumcomplex (slechts 10 zeer gezinsvriendelijke appartementen) te huur, het hele jaar door. De Risa ligt op een heuvel in de buurt van stranden, casino's (Hollywood Casino), watersporten, winkels, uitgaansgelegenheden, gastronomische restaurants en een veerboot naar naburige eilanden. U kunt ook genieten van het zwembad op slechts een steenworp afstand. Dit mediterrane gebouw wordt omringd door de meest lucratieve huizen op het eiland en is ontworpen om bezoekers een uitzicht op prachtige zonsondergangen, blauw water en een ideale plek om te ontspannen te bieden. De algemene rijkdom van de kleuren aan de hemel geeft u de dynamiek van het leven terwijl u ontspant op het terras of bij het zwembad.
De inrichting en het meubilair zijn ontworpen om een sfeer in St. Martin te creëren met alle accommodaties om u zich thuis te laten voelen. Na uw bezoek aan 'Son Risa' zult u vervuld zijn van herinneringen aan zonsondergangen, azuurblauwe wateren, zeilboten, cruiseschepen en ansichtkaartstranden rond dit prachtige eiland. Een van de eigenaardigheden van het eiland ligt in zijn twee culturen, Frans en Nederlands, die Amerikanen en Europeanen in het Caribisch gebied verwelkomen.
Het is ons een genoegen om u als gast uit te nodigen om van zijn Risa te genieten. We hebben dit charmante eiland al meer dan twintig jaar zelf bezocht en willen je een "betaalbare" mogelijkheid bieden die je altijd zal onthouden. Wanneer toeristen terugkeren naar St. Martin, kun je ze nog steeds een vertrouwde fase noemen: "Nog een mooie dag in het paradijs".

Loved this property. The walk up the hill was intimidating at first but by day 2 we were used to it. Bigger than it looks in the photos. Fully stocked and the washer/dryer was such a bonus!

Wonderful place for a relaxing vacation!

the condo was great, very well equipped with everything you might need. It was beautifully decorated as well. the pool was very nice, the others staying were friendly, Pelican Key is a nice residential area off Simpson Bay road. It's rather hilly which gave great views, this made walking around the area very good exercise. It was convenient to airport, Mullet Bay beach and Phillipsburg. Right now the Dutch side is in much better shape then the French Side, I would recommend staying on the Dutch side now, even if you were on the French in the past. We would love to stay there again in the future!

2017 Continues On Trend

Once more in March 2017 Son Risa does not disappoint. We've been coming to St Maarten since 1987 and none of the other locations that we have stayed in come close to Mac and Jack's Son Risa condo. The location, the ambiance, the decorating are all first rate without the crowds of the big resorts. We will be back.

Gem of a place!

My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to stay here this past January. The condo is wonderful with everything you could possibly need. The bed was super comfy and we were able to cook for some of our meals with ease. It is located in one of the best areas to stay in St Maarten and is close enough to everything but is still in a quiet area. I have been travelling to St Maarten for almost 20 years now and this has been the best place we have stayed at by far. Thank you Marguerite and you'll be hearing from us soon!

Another Delighted Guest

Like many before us we fell in love with Mac and Jack's condo at Son Risa in Pelican Key. We have spent 3 delightful weeks in March 2015 enjoying the ambiance, the pool and the location. We have been coming to St Martin since 1987 and have never found accommodations quite as enjoyable as these. We will be back.

Wonderful Experience

We have been coming to St. Maarten for about 18 years and we have to say that our 21 day lodging experience at Son Risa is way at the top of our list. There was not one thing lacking - from the bright and cheery furnishings, the wonderful kitchen with all of the emenities, a very comfortable bedroom, the balcony with ample space (when we cooked we ate all our meals there) and the pool right outside the unit. The property consists of about 10 units with gated parking. Most of the time we felt that we were there by ourselves as it is very quiet. The area of Pelican Key is our location of choice to stay as it is close to our favorite restaurants with a great grocery store nearby as well. Mac and Jack are wonderful people to work with as they also provided us very good island information in addition to detailed instructions about Son Risa. We know we are coming back here to stay - hated to leave!! Thank you!

Our New 'Home Away From Home'

We stayed at this lovely condo for 5 nights. It wasn’t nearly long enough, but then no vacation to St. Maarten ever is. We loved this unit. It is bright, cheery, comfortable, and has just about every amenity one could possibly want. A great kitchen, whether you cook there or not. A lovely balcony just outside the sliding glass doors, wonderful screens for fresh air, and a balcony table with plenty of chairs. We ate breakfast on this balcony every morning, enjoying the distant view of the ocean through lovely palms. The condo was perfect for us. It was quiet, secure, and we had our own parking space not far from our door. A small swimming pool just outside the unit was often ours alone. Plenty of lounge chairs for soaking up the sun. Son Risa is in a great location — far enough from the crowds to feel as though you’re in your own little paradise, yet mere minutes to the action when you’re ready to go. The owners have thought of every possible comfort and also provide lists of restaurants, local activities, and reading materials. They are lovely people who answered our every question and then some. You just know they want you to be happy in their home. We almost didn’t want to write a review because we wanted to keep this great find a secret. Each and every moment of our stay at Son Risa was so special and we are only counting the days until our return! Perfect.

We Wouldn't Stay Anywhere Else

This was our second stay at Son Risa. The condo is located on the Dutch side but is easily accessible to the French side. There are many great restaurants and beaches close by and the condo is beautiful and well-maintained. It was just my husband and I, but with the pull-out sofa bed in the living room it's big enough to accommodate four. We're bummed we could only stay 7 nights but console ourselves with the hope of returning in 2015. As far as we're concerned this condo offers the best amenities and value on the island. Many thanks for more happy memories!

Loved Son Risa

Delightful Experience!

This was our second stay at this lovely condo at Son Risa and found our total experience to be extremely delightful.The pictures provided are very accurate and the location on the first level with the pool just off the balcony was perfect. The complex is gated and sits high on a hill overlooking the ocean providing an opportunity for amazing sunsets. The owners, who we had the pleasure of meeting on our first visit, are very accommodating and dedicated to their property. They have decorated the condo attractively in Caribbean colors and provided everything necessary for a clean, comfortable and enjoyable vacation. We will be vacationing there again for the entire month of November 2012 and really look forward to our next visit. Thanks Mac and Jack for offering your charming Caribbean home so others may enjoy this special slice of paradise!

Absolutely the best!

My husband and I are very frequent island visitors and Son Risa is absolutely our favorite place to stay. Not only does this particular unit offer roll up shutters for sun and/or personal comfort, the complex is gated and the grounds, pool, etc. are immaculately maintained. The views are lovely, the furnishings are incredible. There is absolutely nothing a guest is required to do but relax and enjoy!
