"Staff was super friendly and spoke excellent English. Room was clean and descent for what I paid. However, a fridge in the room would be ideal. Surrounding area of the hotel is quiet with grocery stores Lidl and Kaufmann closeby. "

"Great breakfast buffet. Walking distance (15m) to the old town. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and decent. Direct neigbourhood of the hotel is not the most attractive, but it’s quiet and seemed safe. Only negative is that I could hear the toilet of the upstairs neigbours being flushed as the water rushed through the pipes which appeared to be directly behind the wall. Overall a very nice hotel, would book the same again if I were to visit Zadar in the future. "

"Communication was great. Easy access! Hotel was next to Mcdo. And very close actually to old town with car/Uber. Beach is 10min walk. Room was clean and very usefull, much space also. Very happy to stay there"

"Zaton Holiday Resort is a beautiful and well-maintained place, ideal for a family vacation. The facilities are great, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. However, the prices for sunbeds at the pool are ridiculously high — €10 per bed is just too much. The on-site supermarket has decent prices for a camping resort, and you can find most essentials there. A big plus: there’s a fantastic bakery within walking distance in Nin — definitely a must-visit for a fresh and affordable breakfast!"

"Our stay at Falkensteiner Zadar was disappointing and far from what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. I had to call the reception at least five times within an hour before anyone answered. After requesting some basic items, it took another hour for them to arrive. Bathrobes for kids were missing, and since no one picked up the phone, I had to go to the reception myself—something that could’ve been avoided if the room was properly prepared based on the reservation. The hotel charges €13/day for parking, which feels unreasonable given the location on the outskirts and the fact that the garage was only 25% full during pre-season. Ice cream is only served at dinner, and the kindergarten for kids under 3 is free for just 2 hours, staffed by only one person. Despite being half full, the service was slow and inconsistent. I can't imagine the situation when it's at full capacity. To top it off, they include a €10/day “voluntary” tip by default, which is unacceptable. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and the food was mostly good (aside from the beef soup). Still, compared to similar family hotels like Amarin or Lišanj, this one does not justify its high price or 5-star label."
