Within 5 minutes of arriving my wife was crying. We haven’t been able to go away this year and when booking we were looking for a clear ocean view with a comfortable room. Upon arriving we were checked in via an envelope hanging on the reception door, the check in document outlined all the rules we had to abide by and details of any extra cleaning charges we’d be liable to pay if we didn’t do things as per the rules. Within 10 minutes of arriving we’d arranged to go elsewhere on the second night and cancelled our accomodation there for the second night, we didn’t plan a getaway to feel like we were on a school camp and have rules to follow. The room was fairly clean, except the fact that bugs can easily enter via the broken fly screens in the room. The facilities I was almost too scared to use, as there is nothing around the accomodation I decided to buy breakfast to cook myself only to be greeted by a stove top that requires a fire lighter and the lighter we were provided had no gas. I resorted to using the Weber bbq to cook at least the bacon I’d bought, bit of a nightmare as it doesn’t cook bacon on the grill very well. The bed was somewhat comfortable, had a few marks on sheets/pillow cases. Overall not much went well, we were almost scared to drive in and out, you really need a car with high clearance to get in and out, we had a 4x4 thankfully. Overall not a good stay, management were not willing to refund any of our stay as we were quite disappointed.
