Inside the cottage however, there were some house keeping issues when we arrived: old coffee spill stains on the stove top, crumbs from old food were left in the microwave and toaster oven, all of the drawers where eating utensils were kept also had diet and old crumbs of food, one burner did not work on the stove top, all outside chairs and barbecue had dirt and cobwebs all over them. 'Thank you! This place is beautiful, peaceful and, joyful. We loved our stay. Kayaking on the shallow river, grilling hamburgers and using the hot tub! 'This house was perfect! I was nervous at first since this was our first time renting a house for a few days but I’m so happy I did. Everything went so smooth. When we arrived, everything was clean. The house was even more beautiful in person. I love the huge yard and how secluded you feel from anyone else. You can also see the ocean from upstairs which is really cool. Highly recommend this house, you will not regret it. We will definitely be staying here next time we come to the area! '

'Beautiful surroundings in the woods, frequented by deer. Private and quite. Hosts were very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here. The one downside was the foam mattress was not comfortable for my husband and it had a plastic cover on it that became damp and sticky during the night. A nice mattress topper would help that.'

'Cozy little cottage that was just a minute walk from the beach, and a 10 minute walk from the lighthouse. The owner left a bowl of fresh produce for us from the local farmers market which we used in our dinner each night. The cupboards and fridge were stocked with the necesssities which we were happy to have when cooking dinner. 'The cottage named, Woof Lodge, had adorable dog accessories in every room. Ceramic dog lamps even a dog toilet paper holder. The cottage was very clean and organized to make our stay easier. '

'Small (preferable), luxurious features (stove, shower, sinks, and the floors, the little drawer knobs, and even the little wood stove is a luxurios feature!). All the windows - curtains aren't necessary because there are no other cabins anywhere! That is wonderful! It is what makes it so special. No cabin on every side of you like other places! 'We found it to be a perfect location. It had a wonderful view of the ocean. There was quick access to the beach, great seafood and shopping just a quick drive north to Brookings and just a short drive south to the Redwoods, Crescent city and the aquarium.'
