We stayed at this house to celebrate New Year, and it was a wonderful experience.The home is beautiful, tastefully decorated, very clean, and well maintained. The kitchen is excellently equipped and has everything you might need, it was a pleasure to cook there. You can really feel the care and attention from the hosts in every detail.We especially loved the heated mattress in the master bedroom. The appliances are high quality, the shower is excellent, and the outdoor hot tub was amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely give this place 5 stars. Highly recommended!Sen

This an amazing property! We have been staying at vacation rentals for over 10 years, and this is definitely one on the nicest we've stayed at. Very calm & relaxing property, the deer came to visit every morning & some evenings(12 was our highest count, one morning). The listing & pictures are very accurate. Excellent communication with hosts & easy check in, check out.We are currently working on our own 115 year old house/buildings and definately can appreciate the work the owners have put into this.We chose this area due to proximity to the places we wanted to visit. Day trips to Gettysburg, Lancaster Co, East Broad Top R.R. were all within reasonable distance for us. We brought our Can-Am spyder for the day trips to enjoy the fall colors, and it was spectacular.Would definitely stay here again.Allen & Karen from Missouri

Great house and location

Foxfire was a lovely house both inside and out. Terrific views, clean and updated amenities, and easy booking process with friendly hosts. Loved the book of local civil war history that Emily’s dad wrote. Great space and easy drive to lots of local sights. Would come again!

Perfect Location

Wife and I spent four nights while visiting family in Hagerstown over Thanksgiving. The house was comfortable, well-furnished, spotless, with spectacular views--basically perfect. Great central location to Hagerstown, Frederick, Gettysburg, Antietam National Battlefield, etc. We will definitely consider returning on our next visit to the area.

Scenic, quiet, great location

This was a perfect layout for our family. All the kids loved staying upstairs together in their own little oasis and we loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house was spacious, comfortable, and it was immaculate. The views are unmatched. Waking up and seeing those views are what we'll miss the most. The thoughtful details that Chris and Emily set up throughout the home did not go unnoticed and they definitely made sure the house had everything you could need. They were super friendly and very responsive. The house was in the perfect location - close to all the things we came to see. Oh and the guidebook was amazing and so helpful. It was a wonderful stay and one of our favorite trips!

Wonderful Weekend Stay

My friends and I stayed over the weekend for an event in the area. Everything in the house is perfectly tuned for a visitors stay. I've stayed in numerous places before that are missing key items (silverware, toilet paper, blankets, etc.) and this place had it all. Would stay here again, I would love to stay here in the winter! We had 8 guests and paid extra but I do think it should be a little more clear that there are technically only though beds to sleep 6-7 depending on guests partners.

Anniversary Getaway

We stayed here for our 19th anniversary and it was great! The house was immaculate, very comfortable, and thoughtfully accommodating. The property and the view were beautiful, and the location allowed quick access to surrounding restaurants in the Hagerstown area.

A sensational getaway

My family and I went to this place over Christmas so that we could all be together in one place for the entire holiday. The house was just a magnificent place for us. We love to cook and did a lot of cooking and so the wonderful kitchen was fantastic. A lot of evening time was spent in the hot tub and it was just a really enjoyable place overall. I highly recommend this to anybody considering a stay here! Bravo!
