'Excellent! Superb little place with proper pub and excellent restaurant! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Delightful place to getaway to the countryside but also very handy for Portsmouth (only 25 mins). Charming, helpful staff. All very highly recommended!'

The outside building and front look nice but it’s a facade. Our room was on the backside, you have to pass a trash area and an ugly fence to get there, feels like you are put behind in a shed somewhere. The stairs up to the room were dirty and worn out. 'My room was comfortable though basic and the hotel is in a great location for Ryde just being minutes walk from the hovercraft and the town centre. The staff were really noce and friendly and the breakfasts were amazing! If I come to Ryde again, I would definitely stay here.'

'It was clean and comfortable. The bed could have been more comfortable with a more up to date mattress but it was ok for the two nights. The only thing I would recommend is perhaps adding some extra cushions as the headboard were metal bars. This would make it far more comfortable to be able to lie in bed at night and watch the TV. The front desk people are fine but a little more enthusiasm when having a new guest to stay wouldn’t go amiss. Breakfast was great. Hot and cooked just right. Wait...

Breakfast was great with a good choice of hot and cold food in the restaurant that had beautiful views of the harbour. Great location for exploring The Island. Twee kleine minpuntjes: ondanks een heerlijke douche, is die wel toe aan een nieuwe kitrand en de bedden zijn aan de smalle kant (maar slapen lekker)."

"Het hotel zag er leuk en modern uit en het publiek was gemêleerd qua leeftijd e.d., dus is fijn voor iedereen. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was prima, niet uitzonderlijk, maar gewoon goed. Er was altijd plek om lekker te zitten. De bedden vonden we wat aan de zachte kant en het was redelijk warm in de kamer. Een raam openen gaf dan wel weer wat verkeersgeluiden, maar al met al prima voor een weekendje weg om als uitvalsbasis te fungeren om in de omgeving dingen te gaan bekijken. Een kwartier lopen naar het treinstation, maar neem vooral een Bolt taxi: amper duurder en veel sneller!!"
