Cons: there is no lift, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs; the nearest neighborhood does not feel safe in the late evening (I was warned about the main train station itself but it actually feels safe as it is well lit and there are carabinieri with long rifles standing outside)'

"Hotel zit midden in het uitgaansgebied. Op loopafstand van nog meer leuke en gezellige steegjes.
Wat voor ons minder prettig was, was dat we in de kamers geen direct licht hadden. Het raam keek uit op de “koker” van de installaties van het hotel. Was erg deprimerend. Ook liep het water vanuit de douche onder de douchewand door, waardoor de badkamervloer met water stond.
Er is wel een dakterras met mooi uitzicht op de stad/zee.

"Villa Cottone was a very nice stay for our family and to celebrated my birthday with my children and granchildren. Lia arranged a sicilian chef to prepare an excellent diner at the villa. We enjoyed it.
The house was very clean, the rooms and the beds very comfortable, it was pure luxe to have our own private bathroom.
It was pitty that you always needed a car to go somewhere, there was nothing to do in the neighbourhood. But nevertheless we had a very plesant stay at the villa ! Thank you Lia and your parents!"

"This hotel has four stars, but in my opinion it would certainly deserve a fifth one. It's right in the historic centre, but located between a lovely quiet square and a narrow ancient street, which makes it a very quiet environment - an island of silence right in the middle of a very loud and busy city.
Very friendly staff, cool classic and relatively spacious rooms, and of course the lounge (which looks like a medieval cloister) with a live pianist is breathtaking.
On second thought - the hotel might be just perfect without a fifth star - I wouldn't want the extremely reasonable prices to go up :)"
