Overall the experience was positive. The weather during the holiday (July 2014) was good. As requested by the owners we phoned the hotel on arrival in Majorca to let them know when we were likely to arrive (early afternoon). Upon arrival we were asked to leave our suitcases outside the building whilst check in details were being taken. We thought this strange and we're even more surprised when we were taken to a residential building across the road (above a restaurant). We perceive that we have not actually stopped at the alamos apartments and were in an overflow accommodation. The advertised safe, lift , in room wifi were not available. Wi fi was eventually given after 2 days but this was linked to a nearby hotel (Sabina). As a result the connection was very poor and in reality only useable from the beach which is closer to the Sabina hotel. The advertised sea view was only accessible by leaning over the balcony. On the positive side the room was spacious with a good sized balcony and cleaned every 2 days. The location was also good - close to shopping , restaurants, bars and beach. Despite being above a restaurant the area was quiet on an evening. The room facilities were adequate.
The staff attitude to cleaning was efficient to the point of being ridiculous. At 9.30 am precisely they arrived to do either a full clean or just change the towels. If we chose the clean we had to sit on the balcony and it was made clear that we must stay out of the way on the balcony.
Pro:: Location and cleanliness with a large balcony.
Con:: 1) Clarity over the accommodation.
2) Staff were a little abrupt and inflexible in their approach to running the accommodation.
Locatie: It's close to the beach (very busy), restaurants, bars etc. On an evening we decided to walk (30 mins) to cala bona along a nice promenade.
