Nice hotel at great location
The hotel is nicely situated overlooking the bay of Napels and has a regular shuttle to the city of Sorrento. There is also the possibility to get on trips to the Amalfi Coach and Capri. The hotel has a nice pool and sundeck. The rooms are a bit noisy though.

Prachtig gelegen hotel
Prachtig gelegen hotel met zicht op baai van Sorrento en Vesuvius. Gemoedelijke sfeer dankzij beperkt aantal kamers. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamers met terras, veel handdoeken in badkamer, uitgebreid ontbijt in ontbijtzaal met panoramisch zicht. Elk uur gratis shuttledienst naar/van centrum Sorrento. Ideaal gelegen voor daguitstappen: Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum ... Mooi zwembad met voldoende (lig)stoelen, tafeltjes en schaduw. Rustig, ietwat ouder cliëntèle. Een echte aanrader!

Prima hotel, goede uitgangspositie voor zowel sorrento, capri en de amalfi kust. Heel vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en lekker zwembad. Het hotel doet zijn naam eer aan met het fantastische uitzicht. Kamer voor 4 was wel heel summier en klein met o.a 2 zeer simpele eenpersoonsbedjes.Geen koelkast !? Wat wel super was is de shuttle service naar sorrento.

Het prachtig gelegen hotel La Vue D'Or in Sorrento
Dit hotel is werkelijk schitterend gelegen op een berg. Vanuit onze kamer met balkon, aan ze zijkant gelegen had je prachtig uitzicht over Sorrento en een stukje zee. Vanuit de ontbijtzaal had je uitzicht over de zee, golf van Napels met in de verte, recht tegenover het hotel de vulkaan Vesuvius. Het hotelpersoneel is bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Geen moeite is te veel om iets uit te zoeken of te regelen. De afstand tot het centrum van Sorrento is geen probleem als je gebruikt maakt van de gratis shuttle service van het hotel. In een kwartier ben je beneden/boven Deze gaat ieder uur op vaste tijden. Vanuit Sorrento ligt de bus en trein dan op loopafstand. Verhouding prijs/kwaliteit is zeer goed.

Het Vue D or hotel in Sorrento
Het Vue Dor is een prima hotel gelet op de prijs, kamer was prima. Het onbijt vond ik wat magertjes, geen vers fruit en eieren en van die instantvruchtensapjes. De eetzaal is keurig verzorgd, maar voor het diner hoef je niet in dit hotel te blijven, dat is niet echt bijzonder. Met de shuttlebus of je eigen auto ben je zo in Sorrento. Lopen is echt te ver, het ligt namelijk hoog op de berg.Dat is natuurlijk wel een nadeel.

Great break - hotel staff very friendly and helpful Shuttle bus to Sorrento is very easy (can get busy on the last trips back). Hotel has good facilities sun deck and good sized pool for those relaxing days

For the price, it is excellent. We loved the comfortable bed, amazing view from our terrace, nice bathroom, buffet breakfast included in room price. The pool was great and so was the provided shuttle to downtown Sorrento which we utilized at least twice a day. There was a musty smell in the room and at times, sewer smell in the bathroom that we didn’t appreciate. We only had dinner at the hotel restaurant once but the food took so long to be served. Staff is very polite and helpful!

The property was beautiful and clean! The staff was very accommodating and helpful it was our first time in Italy (Sorrento) we had lots of questions and the staff never made us feel like we bothering them. The breakfast was also very good and lots of options to choose from! I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends back home :)

Good for price point
La Vue D'Or was great for the price point. The shuttle and view were the main reasons we chose this hotel. The first day the shuttle was not working, which was a disappointment as a taxi to town was about 50 Euros each way. The breakfast was good. The view was the best thing about this hotel! There were no pool towels or towels to bring to the beach, which other hotels we have stayed at provided. Overall, 7/10.

With my wife we had a really pleasant holiday week in this great hotel. The whole personnel of the hotel was professional, helpful and simply awesome. The breakfast buffet included sufficient amount of choices and by separate request there was also gluten free bread, cereals, muffins etc. for my wlife who needs to have gluten free diet. The room was well cleaned every day and the hotel facilities including pool area were always tidy. The view from the several hotel terraces down to Sorrento and sea was spectacular. The free of charge shuttle bus to city centrum and back to hotel was convenient with nice and professional drivers. All in all a hotel which me and my wife can recommend.

A hidden gem in the hillside overlooking Sorrento surrounded by olive groves and lemon trees. Beautiful tranquil pool and the view is unbeatable. There’s an hourly free hotel bus to and from Sorrento (15 mins drive), the road is very busy so not really walkable for all, but the bus is an amazing service and honestly it was nice to be set away overlooking Sorrento. Can’t say enough good things about this small, independently owned hotel which oozes charm and character.

the hotel was wonderful. they had a great breakfast and the staff is really nice. the location is far from the city center so you have to take the bus to get downtown to the shopping district. there are a lot of sharp curves as you go down the mountain to get to the city center so beware if you get motion sickness.

Views are amazing, the rooms (and pool) are clean and the coach into Sorrento was on time and reliable. The staff were fantastic and so incredibly helpful. I cannot fault anything and If we return to Sorrento (and we definitely intend to) we would be more than happy to stay here again.

We booked it for our anniversary , it is not a huge hotel, far from the Sorrento central, they have a shuttle from the hotel to town and the other way, the biggest point of this place is the view, View, VIEW, you can’t take your eyes of the balcony and hotel truss, Resturant is glass all around and you would enjoy the view while you are eating. Staff (reception, restaurant waiters, cleaning ladies,…) so helpful and very kind. In total anywhere in Sorrento we were, although people hardly speaking English but they come take extra steps to make sure you understand what they meant :) I love it all

Amazing stay at Vue d’or. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The free hourly bus service down to Sorrento was great. I travelled with my husband and 4 year old son. It was perfect for us. It was far away from busy Sorrento to be peaceful by close enough to get in. Thanks!

Problem at checkin but had a good stay
Not a great start. At check in they gave us a double room when wed booked a 2 bed suite. Theyd given our prebooked suite to someone else on our 1st night. This meant us all having to share 1 room and not getting the room wed paid for on night1. After a 10hr journey not being able to unpack as we had to move rooms next day was a pain. We were refunded the price difference for that 1st night but no goodwill gesture was offered for what was a really annoying inconvenience. Hotel is very clean, pool area is lovely (our main reason for choosing it) & views of Gulf of Naples & Vesuvius are jaw-dropping. Quite traditional decor. Breakfast was ok, we ate in restaurant 1 night and enjoyed the meal. Free shuttle bus to Sorrento town every hour, apart from 3hr period over lunch. Walking down to the town is too dangerous as roads very windy & no pavement. Free parking. Staff were friendly enough. Would categorise this as a 3 star hotel.

This was a very good experience; especially the friendly staff and the history behind the main building and that it had been kept in good conditions. However, the lack of operation of the AC unit in the middle of a heatwave was a misjudgement on the part of the management; this was a very serious error and made our stay quite uncomfortable during the night.
