'The owner is extremely polite, very helpful, accommodating, and a great cook - breakfast was absolutely delicious! The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The shared kitchen is right next to the room we were in, with a side door for easy exit and entrance. The living room area is also beautiful. I would absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone. It is quiet, affordable, and accommodating. 5/5'

'After booking, Donna called me to confirm my stay and ask my arrival time. I appreciated it. It was a cold day with a temperature dropping to below 30 degrees. Taking bath in the big bathtub kept me warm all night even without heater. The heater was noisy when operating. Thus, it was good I took a warm bath and shut off the heater.'

'A wonderful place to feel at home away from home. Excellent hot breakfast with fruit salad and friendly conversation. A beautifully renovated large old country home in the middle of a rural village. Definitely will be back.'

'Had a wonderful stay here! The living room space was incredibly cozy. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, and we slept very well. Dan is a warm and friendly host, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. The kitchen facilities were excellent and fully equipped. We were able to cook two dinners there comfortably, and the self-serve breakfast was a nice touch. The location next to the river and railroad tracks. The surroundings are serene and relaxing. Would absolutely love to come back....

The location is fantastic, close to great shopping and dining, yet the room itself was incredibly calming and serene. It felt cozy, homey, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. This was one of those stays where you immediately feel at ease. I can’t recommend The Colonial House highly enough and will absolutely be staying here again!'
