Top locatie in het centrum van Split, wel lastig te vinden. Verder heeft het gebouw geen lift en bevinden de kamers zich op de 4de verdieping. Kamer zelf was prima.

First, the positives: it has an unbeatable location in the old town, just steps from Diocletian’s Palace. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. They had great showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The beds were soft yet comfortable. The attentiveness of Milana was so helpful. The negatives may or may not be dealbreakers for you. First, the noise. Because of its location, there will be people passing right under your windows almost 24 hrs per day, and there is no soundproofing. I heard plenty of people passing by talking and laughing as late as 3 am and as early as 6 am. If you are a light sleeper, request a room on a higher floor, brings earplugs, use a white noise machine, or all three. Second, there is no parking nearby. I don’t know why the listing says parking is available for 20€ per day. The closest lot is public paid parking. It is a 7-minute walk, and the cost is 1€ per hour in low season or 1.6€ per hour in high season. Third, there is no accessibility for people with mobility issues. Even if you have a first-floor room, there is a small winding marble staircase to enter the building. And, as the listing indicates, no elevator inside. Be aware. Overall, I would recommend it as long as it meets your needs.

Dear Jill ,Thank you for you helpful review.As you mention we do not have and we do not advertise parking as it is imposible to have it as we are located in heart of city center wich is pedestrian zone but parking is available and it is 3 min walk away as you also wrote.Unfortunatly yes there is always live in city center but we do have soundproof windows and just need to be closed :-)Thank you and we would love to welcome you again Wish you all the best

Loud restaurant nearby. If you’re a night-owl, you will game no difficulties. If you need to sleep at 9pm-10pm, you may have noise issues. Very helpful host!!

The lady who checked us in was great! The room was really nice, once we got there. Found out we were staying in a different location with a dirty, unlocked stairwell. The person (guy) I contacted about a airport shuttle and checking in didn’t really want to help in any way, I set the shuttle up through the lady we checked in with. Room wasn’t cleaned well, lots of hair on bathroom floor. There was a bonus though, we found a scorpion in the bathroom. Having said all that great location is why you would stay.

Während unseres 3 Tägigen Aufenthaltes wurden leider kein einziges mal die Handtücher gewechselt auch wurde kein Abfalleimer geleert oder das Bett gemacht...es gab also absolut keinen Zimmerservice. Parkplatz ist nicht vorhanden! auch kein Transfer! Wir mussten außerhalb der Fussgängerzone parken....Der Parkplatz wurde uns vom Gastgeber empfohlen...allerdings für.1.50 € pro Stunde !.die Zimmer sind modern und sauber, die Lage ist top und obwohl mitten im Getümmel gut isoliert und ruhig. Man schläft sehr gut, die Betten sind bequem. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und telefonisch erreichbar..es gibt keine dauerhaft Besetzte Rezeption eine Verlängerung unseres Aufethaltes war jedoch unkompliziert und direkt am telefon machbar... im großen und ganzen ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt..leider ohne Zimmerservice und teurem Parkplatz.

Perfect stay for a night or two in Split
I stayed here for one night while traveling through Croatia. Great location! Everything is very walkable from the property. Milana was extremely helpful in providing directions, food recommendations but mostly importantly booking a car to take me to the airport as I had a very early flight heading to Italy the next day. I would highly recommend staying here while you are in Split.

Travelling on my own I found it easy and safe to come back to when I needed a break from the heat. Location is fantastic! Hosts were lovely and arranged an airport pick up for me. Loved the renovated rooms and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Sometimes the light didn’t work in the entrance hallway so have your phone torch handy and sometimes there were loud people upstairs in the middle of the night. Have your ear plugs nearby.

Both the property and staff were superb. We needed a couple of nights stay in Split before getting on our cruise liner and for the price this couldn’t be best. The room was lovely, great shower, and air conditioning. Location was just off a pretty square in the Old Town which was stunning. The hotel arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport (€40) and despite us arriving very late in the evening we could easily access our room. The ladies on reception made us feel welcome and helped us with all our enquiries. Overall we had a great stay, and would recommend this property highly.

Good rooms for shoet stays
We only stayed for a night in the rooms. Although the building itself could do with some attention the room was perfect for our purpose. I'd only fault that, as there was a kettle provided, I don't quite get how there was only tea available ( no coffee) Special mention to Milana as we areived past thw max checking time and was with us within minutes from calling her, showed us around and recommended places where we coild have a quick dinner.

Should choose a better one for that money you paid
Booked the room because it said is Luxury room but the fact is the open stairs is very smelly and dirty. Not even have a small fridge for water or drinks especially the hot summer in Split. They only give the fresh towels after the third day we stayed, not even clean the floor or bathroom. Small inserts found on the floor twice maybe the old building really needs some clean. And they only accept cash if you pay on the arrival date.

A gem in the heart of Split Old Town
Our stay at the Spalato was excellent. We were first met by our host Stipe, who was extremely hospitable and friendly and gave many recommendations of what to see and where to eat. The apartments are located in the heart of Split old Town with easy access to everywhere by foot, these beautiful apartments have been decorated and designed with luxury and comfort in mind. As a host myself, I know the importance of keeping a high standard when guests arrive and I must say that our apartment was beautifully decorated and maintained with love and care. Would certainly stay again! Keep in mind that if you have a rental car, cars are restricted and not allowed in the old town of Split since the roads are so narrow, so you need to park just outside in one of the car parks. They charge €1.50 per hour regardless of how many hours or days you require. We parked near a stadium for free just outside of Split old town and took an Uber for a less than €5.

I feel this needs to be an honest review as people staying will be in the same situation on arrival as we were. The staff are fantastic and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. Hotel location is in the centre of the old town so you walk out of the door and you’re in the hun of goings on. And the rooms are quiet in the evening even though you are in the heart of the old town. However, payments in Croatia is general and in this hotel are not as expected. We chose to pay on arrival. They only accept cash or PayPal payment, card paymants are not accepted. This, as all businesses in Croatia prefer so to avoid tax. They are upfront in the reasons but this has impacts on those visiting. We have to pay bank fees, international transaction fees and can end up paying more in the long run. So be aware.

Dear AlexanderThank you for your great review but just to clear somethingWe do not avoid taxes and paying them all and you do have option to pay with your card when you make booking but as you wrote you choose to oay on arrival and on booking page it is clear that on arrival you can pay only by cash and reason is same as yours we do not like to pay precentage to bank card companies and that is why you can pay cash , paypall, bank transfer ....but card only on booking website Thank you

Standard var helt grei, ingen resturant på hotell og ingen daglig rengjøring, men det kunne rengjøres på etterspørsel. Vask av klær å håndklær gikk ikke pga vaskemaskin var i ustand. Men generelt et greit opphold. Følte det var litt dyrt.

Installé dans une annexe au 2 obrov au 3°étage sans ascenseur.le rez-de-chaussée de chaussée est occupe par un bar ainsi, les chambres donnant sur la rue subissent jusqu,a minuit et demi des conversations puis les engins de nettoyage de rues.la climatisation de la chambre 3 fonctionnait par intermitance. Enfin le quatrième étage était occupé par des gens bruyants mettant en évidence la mauvaise isolation du plafond. Établissement disposant de belles chambres confortables mais à réserver aux personnes voulant profiter de l,hypercentre touristique entièrement piétonnier.il faut marcher 150 à 200metres pour accéder aux taxis réservés

Namnet var rättvisande: lägenheten var luxuöst renoverad. Kliniskt rent och tyst. Bästa tänkbara läge mitt i Gamla stan, ett stenkast från Diocletianus palats med restauranger, caféer, mataffärer, olika slags butiker och strandpromenad omkring. Dubbelsängen var underbart skön. Några engelskspråkiga TV-kanaler. Jag kan inte komma på någonting negativt att säga

Misleading information that tripled my stay cost
The hotel was difficult to find so we needed help getting there. We received a link to park and got told that the parking fee was 20 euros overnight. But the link provided was NOT for the 20 euros parking, but it cost me 70 euros for less than 24 hrs. VERY misleading and disappointing. The parking cost me twice the room cost. BE CAREFUL WITH INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED BY OWNER

Dear Lyne We expected this kind of rewiew as you threatened us with it when you ask us to participate in your bill that came up with wrong decision where to park. As you told us you loved a stay with us for very cheap price for luxury rooms in city center. Problem is that you parked your car on parking and did not check for price wich is signed with big letters on entrance. Like you wrote you end up paying more for parking than for room but it is not our mistake but fully yours. We are giving service of rooms not parking and we did not recomend that parking you choose it by yourself. Thank you and please next time read prices on parking entrance and you will not be surprised with finall bill. Thank you and we wish you all best

Le palais de Dioclétien sous le soleil d'été.
L'implantation des chambres louées au coeur de la ville antique est un atout majeur (un éta-blissement principal de 6 chambres + une annexe de 2 ou 3 chambres).Les chambres sont très correctes (literie, salle de douche) mais manquent de chaises ou de fauteuils. L'entrée de l'annexe est peu engageante et mériterait d'être rafraîchie.

Au coeur de la cité de Dioclétien.
Nous avons logé le vendredi soir dans la chambre 5 de la maison principale et dans la chambre 2 de l'annexe les 2 nuits du dimanche et lundi. La chambre de l'annexe aux murs à l'appareil de briques et de pierres anciennes (dont du marbre) était plus typique. Les deux chambres étaient propres et spacieuses mais manquaient de système pour accrocher serviettes de toilettes etc. dans la salle de douche et de chaises (ou de fauteuils) dans la chambre.L'accueil était contrasté entre une jeune Croate charmante (Andréa) et un jeune énergumène peu amène.

For the first time a booking via Expedia, the reception asked us to settle bills only in cash. They do not accept credit cards. I would like Expedia to explicitly mention this at the time of booking. Foreign travelers do not carry so much cash to settle hotel bills. And then I had to figure out, withdraw money and settle in cash. Very poor experience
