'The wife and I took our kayaks and had a great time on Lake Winyah. The house sits right on the lake so it’s very convenient. We caught so many fish. Pike, Walleye, Lg mouth bass, Sm mouth bass, bluegill, bullhead and a crappie. I literally made three casts off the dock and landed a 23” pike. We will be back '

'Very cute place, nicely decorated. Very clean except couch was sandy so was the bed. We stayed in #9. The porch is unsafe. Very small you can step off the side or front on either side of steps, if you are not careful. You cannot see the lake from #9. You can walk out down a small sidewalk, onto the sand, then down to the lake. Very peaceful by the water. #9 is close to the main road US23. With the door open and screen closed. The traffic was loud. If I stay again I will ask for front place...

'It’s a good location to do everything Northern east coast from Mackinac Island to Tawas and points inland. The cabin is spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but you don’t want to spend a lot of time in there anyway. Communication with the host was/is excellent and timely. 'Just myself and my dog as the kids were unable to make it but it was great to walk the dog down the beach so much and he loved the sand.
