No waiting for elevators - just park your car, walk over the walkway, and you'll be at beautiful Sand Dollar 108. Most ground-floor condos don't offer a full view of the ocean, but this beauty does. These corner units are a premium at Sand Dollar, especially on the ground floor. There is a full-size window in the main bedroom with the best sunrise view around. Sand Dollar 108 has been redecorated in a comfortable beach-chic décor and is the perfect place to come back to at the end of a busy day. This place is a beach lover's paradise!

The three bedrooms are enough to give everybody their space. You'll find a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen and a twin in one guest room, and two twins in another, plus a pull-out queen sofa bed. There is balcony access from the primary bedroom and the living room just steps to the walkover to the beach. The corner view offers not only views of the ocean from the back of the condo but you have side windows that allow you to view the coastline and the pool. The handsome and nicely appointed kitchen includes a breakfast bar. Take advantage of the free WiFi, cable, washer and dryer, beach towels, and beach chairs.

I will first say the condo was exactly as described, it was right on the beach, next to the pool. The location was perfect, having the beach & pool access immediately adjacent was wonderful. The condo was very clean & had all the kitchen appliances, pots/pans that we needed. It was also a huge plus to have beach towels provided, and the toiletries & dish washing supplies were a plus. However, I will say the booking was not as expected, as the "owner" is another large international rental company, Casago. Due to this, once I booked through VRBO, I then had to fill out Casago's rental info and paperwork. This is not untypical but also not stated transparently with the booking. Then, my booking information including personal details, booking details and dates were either given out or stolen from Casago & I then received spam emails, text messages & Whatsapp messages from the time I booked until the stay, asking for me to click links & give more info. When I notified the rental company, they blamed VRBO. However, after tracking this down through VRBO, they noted there had been no breaches of info. The person I communicated with at Casgao was friendly and helpful, but would not use the VRBO app to communicate, rather wanted me to text them on a local number. I have had prior bad experiences when not using the VRBO app which protects you from fraudulent listings. Just be aware that you are not booking from a person, and may not be covered by VRBO if you communicate outside the app.

The location (steps from the pool and steps from the boardwalk leading to the beach) was perfect. The view let us watch morning sunrises and evening moon rises from the porch. Everything we needed was there and we had a great time!

Great stay!

Plenty of space, seemed better and larger than the pictures. Loved being on the ground floor ocean side - literally walk out the door and the pool is right there and short steps down to the beach. We brought a wagon but didn’t end up using it bc it would’ve been more of a pain going up and down the stairs. The beach is private and our little kids loved that during the day there is a middle section that isn’t as deep or have to worry about the waves - great for sand toys. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Would definitely stay again!

Great location,but couldn't use back patio or pool

The owners should re-think property management company. They informed us 2 weeks prior to our vacation that we would lose access to pool due to construction. A day before we were set to leave we were informed we wouldn't have access to the back patio. They actually had 2 temporary support beams holding up the ceiling by the patio doors. Wood was wedged in so we couldn't open them. We did receive a refund, which I was happy about and probably will book again because of the location, but it is also the first time I have found roaches in a rental condo. We only found one, but it was huge. I'm quite sure we had a mouse too. We found rodent fecal matter on the floor in the kitchen. I'm assuming it was from all of the construction. I have a picture of the roach if the owners want to see it. There was an orkin van at the property the next day, so someone must have reported it.

Great location

Location is excellent. You can see the ocean from inside the condo and the porch is great to relax and unwind. Ample parking. Condo is well stocked with essentials. Several places to eat nearby but nothing is walking distance. Property owners should change the cleaning co. There are several reviews about the condo not being very clean. We found cobwebs in the living room. Other than the master bedroom all the others beds are very uncomfortable. So we thought we would use the pull out bed but when we opened it so much of dirt and dust fell out that we had to immediately vacuum the room. Obviously we decided against using it! We found the ceiling fan in the master bedroom did not work so called maintenance. They came within the hour but were unable to fix it. It was close to 85degrees so having a non functional fan throughout our stay was a bummer. There is construction going on and that started everyday around 8am but stopped after noon. Location is excellent so my rating is based on that. Otherwise would have been much lower.

Beautiful beach!

This will be our second time having stayed at this property, our first visit was on the third floor and our second visit was this recent trip on the main floor. This condominium complex is absolutely located on the most beautiful beach ever. We always enjoy ourselves and always have all the amenities that we need the condo so that we can prepare meals there as we wish with convenience of having restaurants and entertainment close by as needed. The only downfall to this visit was there is a lot of maintenance and or construction that is going on and on the weekdays there is a lot of disruptive noise within the units that interfere with TV, music, or basically anything that you want to do within the space.

Amazing ocean view from this ground floor unit!

The view from this ground floor unit was unexpected and simply amazing! The listing pictures certainly don't do it justice! Condo was well appointed, complete with all the luxuries of home, including a nice sized laundry room. The furniture was comfortable and everything was clean and beach themed. There was a bit of a mix up with check in but it was quickly resolved. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio, watching the waves and feeding the dune turtles. This unit is right beside the pool with easy access. My husband has mobility issues and this condo accommodated his disability perfectly! We'll definitely be staying here again in the future.

We absolutely loved this rental property ❤ The only thing I would change is the twin beds and a ramp down to the beach for pulling wagons. The access to the pool and the beach was so convenient especially with the kids. We will stay again with no hesitation!!

Sand Dollar Getaway

Wow. We LOVED how close this condo was to the pool AND the beach! Literally steps from both! And the ocean was so much closer to the unit than previous condos I've stayed at on Crescent Beach. We could feel the breeze, hear the surf, and see the waves crashing, all from our back deck! Honestly it was an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating time, and we will be back next year - already booked! The managers were also very accessible and often got back to me within minutes of me texting or calling, even going so far as to make things right with a partial refund when we experienced quite a bit of jackhammering sounds on the floors above our unit. A couple of things that the unit DOES need to improve on: 1. The back porch where you could sit and see the ocean was VERY dirty with cobwebs in the corners, and sadly unaccessible from the master bedroom as the door wouldn't open. We had to clean the porch ourselves when we arrived. Also when it rained, the porch had at least an inch or two of water covering the floor, which was irritating and alarming, as that can't be good for the foundation. The water had nowhere to drain. 2. Cleaning was a problem in general with this unit, which seems to be a theme with previous reviews. The cleaning people just need to be let go and a new cleaning team found imo. The corners all had cobwebs, as well as the ceilings. The sheets on the master bed had hairs in them from previous users, which was also unnerving - were the sheets even cleaned? 3. Windows and especially sliding glass door were FILTHY. I was disappointed that I let the manager know and they did not get anyone to come clean them while we were there. Making sure things are clean is the last thing you want to do on vacation. The views are spectacular through every door and window, but hard to see with how grimy it was. Easy fix! Get a better cleaning crew! Some good info for future users: bring your own toilet paper, they didn't supply any. TONS of beach supplies were included in the unit! Chairs, towels, boogie and skim boards, toys for the kids... it was great. Pool says it's 3 feet deep in the shallow end. For those with kids - that is NOT accurate. It was closer to 4 feet deep fyi. Be aware if you have kids!! Overall we had an amazing experience and will be back! But we hope the unit is cleaner and the deck drains like it should when we come back. Cleanliness is a very big deal to me and the last thing I want to do is clean on vacation. Thank you so much!

Mattresses badly need replacing, along with lock on SGD. (A stick with a rope attached). Closet door in spare was off track an wouldn’t work. Unit looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, fingerprints on SGD, tv, mirrors, ect. No linens, found everything in dryer, still wet. Spent several hours drying linens and cleaning before we moved in.

Beautiful beach cottage

Location is absolutely beautiful - my only suggestion is that the beds be updated as they were not very comfortable. We had an issue with the electricity following a storm, but was immediately resolved by texting management. Great response time. I definitely recommend this condo as a vacation location.
