Avoid this property! The experience was so consistently bad, it’s hard to believe this unit is still being rented out. Not enough room here to cover it all. Nearly every day brought a new issue. Many were serious (health/life/safety) & should never exist in a rental at this price. We arrived to no heat. Told to use a “space heater” which didn’t exist. Replacement didn’t show up until 11pm! Apartment is extremely old & poorly maintained. Floors noticeably slanted, doors don’t close or seal properly, water pressure is barely functional, rugs are filthy, & under bed cleaning hasn’t happened in ages. Mildew in the bathroom was simply painted over. Countless layers of paint covering walls, major cracks, trim, & hinges throughout the entire apartment. REAL ISSUE: a major leak starting Thursday. Contaminated water dripped from the bathroom light fixture in the ceiling. By The weekend, it was leaking again (from the same spot & through the living room wall—creating bubbles & cracks in the paint). Water was coming through the light fixture & toward the main outlet in the living room, a serious safety hazard! It rendered both rooms unusable. Smell was awful, & nothing was done when we reported it (host said, “maintenance doesn’t work weekends and [they] couldn’t move us because all rooms were full”). Walls provide evidence the owner has known of these issues, including the leak, for some time and done nothing but apply paint. Guests should absolutely stay elsewhere!
