'This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. 'Our first time in a pod but we loved it. We stayed with our two young children, who were sad to leave! The pod was clean, cosy, had everything you need and on a quiet but secure site. We booked very last minute but had an easy check in with great communication from hoasts. Would come again x'

'I stayed at the Tavern for one night Monday 6/10/25 prior to attending a funeral. I had read previous reviews criticising road noise. Whilst it was heard,I didn’t find it an issue at all. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed. Superb bathroom- i loved the large soaker tub- hard to find a room with bath these days. Staff were very friendly and food was hot and tasty with portions on the large side! Would definitely stay here again.'

'Delightful managers and staff, ready and eager to help. The room (3) itself was beautiful and cosy. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bedsheets smelled lovely. The shower was amazing, the bathroom gorgeous. The general decor of the room and bathroom were lovely. I would definitely stay here again! Unfortunately I didn’t have time (I was working) to sample the food, but I definitely will next time! If you have accessibility needs, let them know way ahead of time as most of the rooms are...

'oud verblijf, netjes en compleet ingericht, vriendelijk. Geen hoogvlieger maar een goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Geselecteerd op parkeermogelijkheid....dus niet. Langs de weg in het dorp of op een betaalde parkeerplaats uit het zicht. '
