As with rooms above pubs it is quite noisy but pretty well sound insulated and the pub closes relatively early. Staff were pleasant, helpful yet unintrusive. The room we had did not have main lighting so was very dark even with the side lights on and if you opened the blinds people on the street could see in - especially from the flat across the road. Also before 9am in the morning, hammer banging and electric drill noise outside window next to our headboard, suggest workmen check if room occupied before commencing work!
