Reviewer Comments:
I have returned and stayed at the Surf Song many times over the last 35 years, and my parents, siblings and my son all have also visited many, MANY times. It was the place we considered to be our home away from home, and we have many happy memories there. It was a yearly Mother's Day trek for us, and hence I have stayed in all most every unit there, but unfortunately I was very disappointed this time. Room 347 was not at all what I was expecting. The decor, window coverings and furniture was very dated, the toilet paper holder kept falling off, the bathroom sink leaked, and to top it off, the property next to us was being sandblasted, so we could not even sit on the balcony during the day :( The noise and bad music from John's Pass was also a deterrent to us being able to enjoy the balcony and sit outside. I realize some of that is out of your control, but I can't say I remember this kind of stuff being an issue from other times I stayed on the Surf Song property, so I was extremely disheartened with the experience. I had expected to be in the end room, #348, so when we opened the door I was immediately unhappy. We tried to change our reservations and would have forfeited our stay in 347 and paid for another Sunhost rental altogether, but the girl in the office rudely brushed us off stating there was no possibility of that.I can't say that I will never return to another SunHost property or room in the Surf Song, but I can say I will never recommend room 347 or return there. I apologize for saying negative things about this rental, but the truth is it was just plain awful.
