We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. All VRBO properties have a rental agreement/lease that renters agree to upon booking. Perhaps you didn’t notice or read it when you booked? Our signs , all three of them are to remind guests of garbage pick up days and garage items. The pool sign is required by law which I’m sure you’ve seen at other rental properties. There is both a regular coffee pot to which you broke the carafe and a single k-cup maker for our guests’ convenience. It’s 3 levels, so since we don’t have an elevator, there are stairs which is apparent from the pictures in our listing. We came over on New Year’s Eve at 7:30 pm to bring you additional dish towels that you requested(there were 4 on site) and on New Year’s Day brought over 3 more chef knives even though there were 3 there in a separate drawer along with multiple steak knives. The next day we brought you a thick towel to wipe your feet even though there is a mat at the door in the covered entry way leading to the house. We haven’t seen previous reviews mentioning “general upkeep”, in fact, our reviews are full of compliments. I wish we could control the weather and January can be chilly in FL, but glad you enjoyed the heated pool.

Yes, there was a power surge to our part of the island and it fried the motor in one of the air conditioners. We went out and purchased two large portable air conditioners and installed them immediately to keep our guests cool. That's above and beyond. By that Monday, the service crew had the AC working again. The guest may have tried to use this occurrence to get a free stay, but we feel we did all we could do and wouldn't issue a refund, we spent almost a thousand to keep them cool for the weekend. I guess that's why they gave us our only 3 star review. Our cleaning crew is on time, 10:AM and they report the guest lingered past checkout. They cleaners need the full time to meet the cleaning protocol so they do start on time. There's plenty of silverware, no on has ever complained like that, of course, you do have to run the dishwasher at some point, we provide 8 loads worth of detergent.. We provide one roll of paper towels to get guest started and one laundry soap, but most travelers know to bring their own groceries and consumables. We provided them the same amount of toilet paper as every other guest, four rolls per bathroom and spare rolls in the cabinet, I guess some folks are just more full than others.
