'We loved everything about our stay - just wished we had stayed longer. The beachfront room was perfect for our family and the view was amazing. 'Do NOT plan to arrive early to this hotel or be treated kindly. We arrived around 3:00 pm knowing that check in is at 4 pm, but most hotels can accommodate an early check in if the rooms are ready. We explained that we would like to check in so we could freshen up prior to our 4:30 pm cab pickup and dinner reservation at 5 pm. 'Hotel is verouderd en heeft dringed onderhoud nodig, zwembad is klein en ook verouderd. Restaurant is goed eten ok. Geen lift dus met zware koffer een hele toer om boven te komen als je niet op de eerste verdieping zit. 2 nachten meer dan genoeg om hier te verblijven. Heeft 3 sterren maar 2 sterren zou meer dan genoeg zijn'

'This resort needs to be updated. They want you to re use towels but there’s no place to put the wet towels. Room was not clean, front desk staff was very unfriendly. '

'Het is een klein en dus intiem hotel. Na de eerste keer ontbijt ken je zo'n beetje iedereen en het geeft een soort amicale sfeer die erg prettig is. Het management bevordert de interactie van de gasten met elkaar door elke avond een bescheiden happy hour te organiseren. The pool was small but very nice providing a view of the hills surrounding St. Thomas and overlooking the town itself. It was within walking distance of just about everything that we wanted to see. 'We stayed one night. For the price of almost usd 600 for one night we would expect better hotel. Breakfast was in a basket delivered to your room so you have to eat it sitting on your bed. Beside that it was a very limited breakfast. Environment is dangerous in the evening/night'

'The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! '
