'The old fort is a place like no other I've ever been to. The setting is atop a hill with almost 360 views of the ocean from the tower room where we stayed. The breezes were delightful and I even had to ask for a blanket. Other rooms have air conditioning if you want, but we liked the rustic top floor. Quirin and Otmar were perfect hosts, regaling us with stories of life on Bequia, archeology, philosophy, and the vision and hard work that went into turning a ruin into a paradise. The staff was...

'The view really is stunning; you could not go anywhere else on Bequia during your stay and have a lovely time. The host and housekeeper were very welcoming and very responsive. The openness and design of the house were special.'

'We were picked up by Brendon’s Taxi when we arrived on Bequia and were brought to the Ohana house where we were met by the wonderful Vanice. We were instantly impressed with the home and especially the kindness of Bequia. The house is exactly how it looks in the pictures and how it’s described. The beach is a very close walk. Although, very steep. You will have to be in decent shape to make it back and will need sandals with some grip. With that being said… that should not deter you from staying...
