'This place was perfect size for my husband and I and another couple to stay and enjoy an extended weekend. I give it a 4 star over all stay due to the 2 bedroom has more of a closet door instead of a true door that had difficulty closing at night. All new appliances were perfect for cooking dinner at night and perfect location to do the Nelson 151 wine tour.'

'My family of three (2 adults and one 3yo) had the best time at the cottage. As we approached upon arrival we had breathtaking views of fields and fields of pink-blossomed peach trees. The view from the cottage itself was beautiful, with mountains in the distance and a peaceful farm in the forefront. Highlights were having breakfast views of the llamas each morning and seeing the trains go by daily. The home itself was very comfortable and the fireplace a bonus. We hope to return in warmer...

'The house is adorable. Every little comfort has been thought about and provided. From the couch to the bedding, it felt like a home. The outside is fabulous. Woods and a great firepit made the nights fun and full of laughter. We spent the days hiking the AT or enjoying a good book, that we found from the ample selection, on the shelves inside. There are no complaints, just thanks for such a wonderful stay.'

'Hillside hideaway was perfect! It’s in a great location to get into Shenandoah via the Swift Run entrance. Rhonda was an amazing host. Very attentive and responded to messages within 15 minutes. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to disconnect and relax.'

'This was an ideal rental for our family of four. The cottage is located in close proximity to Woodrow Park, which provides a walking bridge to cross the railroad tracks and venture into the historic downtown district on foot. The hosts were super nice and had all the lights on in the house when we arrived late in the evening; there was no fumbling in the dark to punch in the lock code or enter the house, which we very much appreciated. This was probably the cleanest VRBO rental we’ve ever...

'Perfect little place for my husband and I to stay while visiting our daughter at UVA. It was a quick drive to campus. This cottage provides more room than a hotel room. There was a cute back porch (with a porch swing!) that you could relax and have a glass of wine. Our cottage looked out on a pasture with goats.'

'The cottage was beautiful. Very nicely decorated, had many amenities, like bathrobes, which we loved. It’s the little things :-) The WiFi was great, which was important to us, because we worked from there. It is in a perfect location between downtown Charlottesville and all the wineries. The property manager was very quick to reply to all my questions, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!'
