Windy Knoll nodigt u uit om te komen ontspannen en te genieten van het adembenemende uitzicht op het Afton Mountain-groen. Dankzij de grote A-raamramen kan het zonlicht doorkomen, zodat u overal kunt genieten van de vogels en de natuur. Het pand ligt op 3. 5 hectare, dus het is zeer privé. Een uitgestrekt glooiend gazon aan de voorkant om 's ochtends te genieten van het hert terwijl u een kopje koffie drinkt op de brede veranda. Bosgebieden aan de zijkant en achterkant van het huis. Betreed het huis in de voordeur en een warme en uitnodigende woonkamer wacht op u met twee banken en een gasgestookte open haard. Gooi dekens en kussens voor knuffelen tijdens het kijken naar een film. Tv en dvd-speler met een selectie films om uit te kiezen. De eetkamer met erkerraam heeft een grote tafel voor 6 personen comfortabel. De veranda aan de voorzijde heeft ook een eettafel. Ruime, goed uitgeruste keuken met alles wat u nodig heeft voor het bereiden van heerlijke maaltijden na een dag wandelen over de Appalachian Trail of sightseeing. Vaatwerk, bestek, saus en saute pannen. Wijnglazen, koffiemokken, porties. Slijppot, mixer, mixer. Koffiepot met koffiemolen (Starbucks koffiebonen in de voorraadkast). U vindt een paar specerijen in de koelkast, kruiden, kruiden, olie in de voorraadkast. De slaapkamer op de vliering heeft een queensize bed en een tweepersoonsbed met een eigen badkamer en douche. De eerste verdieping slaapkamer heeft twee aparte bedden en een aparte badkamer met jacuzzi. Loft heeft ook een bureau met een laptop en een printer voor uw gebruik. Achterdek heeft een grill die klaar is voor die barbecues!

The location of this property is so beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would have helped were the bed sizes. A full bed is just to small abs the rooms could accommodate larger beds.

This is by far our favorite place to stay; I cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful rental! The owners were so easy to communicate with and they have thought of absolutely any and everything to make your stay perfect. The house is an absolute gem; decorated beautifully & so much room. The porch was our very favorite, we could have sat there forever watching the wildlife and beautiful mountain views. We were only a few miles from so many wineries and anything else we wanted to do. And it is pet friendly so we were able to bring our pup. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed to stay at Windy Knoll and we cannot wait to come back!

Windy Knoll

The house is super clean and well decorated . The grounds are lovely with deer and cottontails hanging out peacefully . It's very quiet with no noticeable ambient noise . On a clear night there is excellent start gazing . The only thing I would suggest is too provide maybe a memory foam mattress pad for optional use as the mattresses are very firm in good condition but very firm . Overall loved the stay .

Perfect getaway

This property had all the comforts of home. The owner provided lots of extra touches you don’t find in a rental. The beds were very comfortable! The view was amazing!! We spent so much time relaxing on the front porch watching deer and bunnies run by. We will definitely be back!!

Renter Beware

We saved up our money and chose this home to celebrate our winter holiday, as well as my birthday I share with my baby. We were so excited!In advertisement owner’s claimed they had a working fireplace, this was a huge reason we rented this vacation home for our celebration. When we contacted owner they seemed very annoyed with our call and said they “have no idea” how to work it and to “use the manual to figure it out”. I apologized for inconveniencing them but asked to please help us as it was included in our stay and was something we specifically looked for when choosing a house. Mike reluctantly stayed on the phone, trying to remember how to work it. After awhile our conversation seemed to take a lighthearted turn but, unfortunately the fireplace remained inoperable. Mike admitted, at the end of the call, that it is over 25 years old and he has known for over a year that it has needed to be replaced. My spouse and I spent well over an hour hunched down in the dirty, dead-bug filled fireplace in diagnostics, to no avail.Along with this issue the electricity in the home may be faulty as the breaker to the refrigerator flipped even though we never connected any other appliances to it. This happened while we were gone from the home, so we returned to water leaked on the floor and about 100 of food spoiled. We debated reporting these issues to VRBO but decided to just enjoy our short stay and move on. We understand that things happen and wanted to focus on the happy time

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Windy Knoll is the best of all worlds - a quiet mountain retreat to relax at and disappear into nature, while being close enough to multiple great towns to enjoy what they have to offer as well. The owners clearly love this home, always upgrading to make the experience more enjoyable. Can't get enough of this place!

Another wonderful stay at Windy Knoll

We just had another lovely stay at Windy Knoll... same relaxing scenery where we could decompress and the house that was tastefully renovated! The personal touch and the amenities to make guests feel welcome remain a constant at Windy Knoll, from first quality bed linens/towels, well stocked kitchen/pantry to fresh coffee beans to enjoy and recommendations for things to do in the area! And then also dog bowls and towels for dirty paws for the furry guest! Needless to say, we will be back as soon as we can!

Just Wonderful!

My husband and I had a 3 day/2 night stay and enjoyed every minute of it. We loved the peace and tranquility of the big front porch and the gorgeous views of the rolling landscape and mountain. The upstairs loft/bedroom is enormous and very comfortable with a nice Eames chair for contemplating the view out the big picture windows. There were thoughtful extras - throw blankets, well stocked laundry room, extra bedding, abundant toiletries and the kitchen had spices and plenty of plastic wrap and ziplock bags for leftovers. It was only a few minutes' drive to both the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway and we took advantage of both. The hiking and overlook views are amazing as we had lovely cool, clear weather.
