'I would give a 10 star if I could! The home was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen had everything. We absolutely loved Washington! Quick trip to St. Louis and to the Katy Trail. Angela was a great host. We loved having the covered porch in the rain and the peacefulness of the deck out back. 'What a great experience. Thus is an extremely clean and peaceful stay for those traveling the 1-44 corridor. We found this Vrbo thoughtfully stocked and met all our needs. I would say it’s about 10 minutes from anything in st James proper. The only sad thing to report is that the physical guest book left us zero space (blank pages)to fill an entry for those who enjoy writing to others and reading about other experiences.'

'Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. 'the house was so very very comfortable and large enough to house 16 of our family. it was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need and the host was very responsive and wonderful to work with. we had a family float trip and was only a few miles from the resort. HIGHLY recommend this location and host. THIS HOME MADE OUR FAMILY TRIP EVEN MORE MEMORABLE'
