Cute place- checked off all our needs
Good place. 3 bed rooms all with Queen size beds. It was perfect for us. We sat on the porch mostly when we were there and played games. Not a long ride to Key West. Overall- we were happy and would stay there again.

We rented a house in this complex that was good last year This house is in terrible repair plug covers missing, light bulbs missing, few kitchen supplies, wood trim missing, wallpaper peeling, no hangers even when I asked for some. We had to go buy hangers. Faucets drip &/or run All furniture stained, missing smoke detectors. I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture

Worn out Electric receptical cover missing in dining room. Locked out of bedroom. Manager said to use credit card to get door open. Wallpaper peeling Deck table had only one chair Charcoal grill substandard. Signage to get into property substandard. Debris and trash in parking area. Sliding door lock did not work. Needed to use a 2x4. Gaps in front door. Could see daylight Ants each day in kitchen.

Key west getaway
This is the first time vrbo has steered me wrong. The property manager was wonderful and quick to respond.. the location was perfect to key west but we had no boat parking available... you could use the marina but we rented that property strictly for the boat. The biggest issue is the condition of the house. That goes on the owner. Severly outdated and no maintenance makes for a very undesirable unit. Calling someone could not fix years of disrepair so it wasn't worth the call. The cleaner did what they could but you can't clean the issues this place has. It needs major renovation and will not be a return visit for us

The cottage was located in a prime area of the keys. Close to many restaurants and bait shops. The cottage could use some dusting around the top of cabinets and lights. But lets be honest you come come to the Florida Keys to stay in the room.

Family vacation
Nice location, the pool was quiet and relaxing. The cottage was decent could use some updating, the fridge didn’t work well and had no shelves, needs new mattresses you rolled to the center of the bed. No blinds or curtain on slider door. By the photos it looks like you can dock put in your boat in the water on property but when we arrived we couldn’t. We had to dock boat at the marina.Overall was a good stay .other than a few little things and some maintenance can fix.

Great Location!
The house was just somewhere for us to congregate and lay our head at night. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. Location is fabulous. Spent a lot of time at Bahia Honda, little duck had a beautiful little private beach and of course the infamous Key West. Spent half a day at the pool, but other than that we did not use much of what the property offered such as the grill, the docks, etc. Kitchen is extremely limited on supplies for cooking. So try and keep it simple. Comfortable stay.

This property was not in good shape. The front door had duct tape and big gaps along the bottom, missing basic kitchen utensils, faucets leaked in both bedrooms, hair on sheets, hair all over the furniture. The AC worked well as did the washer and dryer. The location was wonderful.

Nice place - good location
The cottage was exactly as described. We had access to 2 pools, docks, water views. Plenty of room to walk my dog. Close to a small convenience store. Only 20 miles to Key West. I worried that keeping the thermostat at 75 would be a problem for us but it was fine. The host was responsive to messages. ( we - I, locked us out once). The only thing I would suggest is a key pad lock for the door- so crazy people like me wouldn’t have to bother her! LOL. And, the exhaust fans in the bathrooms didn’t work. Though again, I would think that would be a problem but it really wasn’t- more of an observation. Overall, a great stay and yes, I would stay here again!

house nice, roomy and comfortable. Beach area very pretty but needs to be cleaned up a little. We enjoyed the pool, floats provided. Kayaks provided were hard to find, wish there had been a few more. Would definitely stay here again. Like the area and Cudjoe Key too.

Beautiful location!
We had a super fun stay! We were able to rent a few Kayaks and go out everyday right from the property. The pools, while they were a bit too cold for swimming in January, were well maintained and would be amazing in the summer months! We were able to teach our toddler to snorkel in the calm waters on property. There isn't alot to see ,but there are a few little fish and the water was very clear and she enjoyed just being able to see the rocks and grasses on the bottom. The location is a short ,no more than 1/2 hour drive, to Key West or to Marathon. The only draw back we ran into was the supplies in the kitchen. I will note that the ad DOES SAY that there are minimal pans and such. This is very true! There is a medium sized pan, and tiny pan ,and a cookie sheet. Make sure to bring anything additional you may need for cooking. There are plenty of plates, cups, and utensils !

The cottage was a little dated but, cute. The deck needs a little TLC. The process of checking in and out was simple. The owner of the property was prompt when messaged. Yes, there are tiny ants. They did not appear until we had spilled something sweet. The solution is to put any of your perishables in the refrigerator or microwave. This is Florida. The pictures posted on the site are accurate. It was worth it and we would come back. Thanks

The facility was clean and functional. HVAC worked. Water heater worked. Good water pressure. All appliances functioned properly. The external amenities as just ok but the price is great for someone on a tight budget.

Check in process is easy. We did have a few issues and brought them to owners attention. She responded quickly. The dryer didn’t dry. We had purposely booked this property because of laundry at house. (Baby) There is coin operated laundry nearby. We had some rainy weather for a few days and the house provided space for all of us to spread out. Easy access to Key West and restaurants. We didn’t use the pool and the outside grounds could use some attention—after storms this fall. This could be a very cool property with a bit of regular maintenance. Not sure if we would stay here again.

The property was in the perfect location! Only 30 minutes from Key West. The property had a large area to walk the dogs. Checkin was super easy and the house very clean. Anytime I contacted the host from booking the property thru checkin I received a response within minutes. Great place to stay if you have a boat! Water view by the dock was beautiful.

Property is disgusting
Beware! This property is infested with ants and roaches. Doors don’t lock, half the blinds don’t work, no exhaust fans in the bathrooms, pictures of property on VRBO are old and inaccurate. The property needs major TLC. Whoever “cleans” the property in between guests, have no idea how to clean. Fans covered in dust, dirt on the ceiling, smashed bugs on the walls, food on the floors and under furniture from previous guests…disgusting! The owners of this property have a lot of nerve charging what they charge for this property considering all thats wrong with it! Not to mention it’s unsafe as the doors don’t lock and the smoke alarms do not work and are dangling off the wall by a wire! I book through VRBO all the time and have NEVER seen a property this foul! Look elsewhere, there are better properties for the same price.

Our housekeeper is fabulous, she get's fantastic reviews. We were in this house 2 weeks prior to this guests arrival. We do maintenance constantly, any complaint is addressed immediately. A simple phone call would have resolved all of these issues. One of our biggest complaints with rentals in the Keys are the ants, although we spray regularly, we live in then tropics and they will get into sweets left out. We have fire inspections annually, all smoke detectors work and the doors do lock. The pictures in the listing are accurate. This is not a fancy hotel, it is a clean comfortable house in the Lower Florida Keys, old Florida style compound. Most people love it and come back year after year. Please notice our other GREAT reviews.

Perfect location & nice property
My husband and I stayed on the property in a one bedroom cottage last year and loved it. We decided to come again to celebrate our son's graduation and brought some friends along. First, let me say this... if you are looking for the accommodations at the Hilton, go stay at the Hilton. The home is older and therefore needs some love and attention, but it was perfect for us. The home was clean upon arrival. We were early and Santa ( I believe was his name) was just finishing up and let us come right in. House was clean and stocked with the initial necessities (dish soap, TP, paper towels, etc), the bedrooms were well decorated and beds were comfy (our happened to dip into the middle but still ok), living room/dining area met our needs just fine. Yes, the master bath (shower specifically) needs some work, but it did its job and the hall bath was just fine. We had access to the grill, which the guys loved. We found the marina (Cudjoe Gardens Marina) down the road and it became our go to each day we went on the water. The property is spacious and we had no trouble with parking. The pool was entertaining with the iguana's and refreshing after a long day on the water. We have shared the information with several other friends, and we will be back. Our host was gracious and offered to bring us a blender when the one at the house didn't work, but we planned ahead and had one of our own. Still, she was responsive and super accommodating. Already looking forward to our next trip and adventure in the KEYS.

Fraud listing
We stepped in and out of this property as it was dirty and unsafe. The rear sliding door didn't lock and a 2*4 was by the door in order to serve as a lock. I have kids and I immediately noticed the unsafe 2nd floor railings, black electric tape to hold hold broken parts of the fridge, nail heads poping out of the floor, broken outlet covers , dirty couches, dirty pillows, fiberglass shower patch and finally a green algae pool. We requested a refund and VRBO is claiming nothing wrong with the properly refunding us their fees of the booking. I have the pictures to share with who ever wants to see them. Don't rent this property.

The cleanliness was terrible, had to spend 40$ on cleaning supplies and wash the bedding. The master bedroom bath toilet leaked bad and the shower floor was broken. The rain came in under front door. Other than that the trip was great

Thank you for letting us know about these items, you should have told me about these items when you arrived and we would have addressed them immediately. The next guest informed us of the leaking toilet, this has been fixed, as well as the door sweep. The shower is being replaced.

Wonderful vacation!
The unit had everything we needed. Enjoyed the privacy of the house and the value for a three bedroom in the keys. Close enough to Key West. Nice new floor and wall decor but furniture and bathrooms (although clean) were shabby. Master bathroom shower in sad shape. Would rent it again.

Very nice place, I was surprised walking in because it was much bigger and much nicer than the pictures showed. It’s on a quiet Key, and fat enough off the road to be very quiet. The dock on the property was a gorgeous place to watch sunsets, and it was centrally located to where we wanted to go!

The place was nice, we all did enjoy our stay. With a little maintenance it would be a great place to stay. The main bedroom shower floor in dire need of repair & the lights in the dining room needs to have the switch replaced/repaired it goes on & off by its self. The living room light didn't work at all. Also we had 6 people there so really needed more bathroom wash cloths & hand towels, 3 of each was not enough for 6 people. With these things fixed it would make for a great place to stay next time in town. Thank you

After arriving to the house it was clear the house had not been cleaned completely from the previous guests. There was toothpaste splashes on the bathroom mirror, grease smeared all over the back splash of the stove, and one of the beds was not made with the dirty linens on the floor. As you came in the front door there was black, heavy dust coming out of the AC vents in the ceing along with each vent throughout the house. Relaxing and quiet place
This was a last minute trip and it was hard to find a place that allowed dogs, well we found places but my dog is bigger then the allowed weight limit at the other places (her dads fault LOL). Don’t worry she is is not overweight. Needless to say, this property is pet friendly and I am grateful for that 😊 The house is super cute and very clean. Walking distance to the water and dock, which I did a lot of fishing from. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Our second stay at this location
This is our second time staying at one of these rental homes in cudjoe. We spend most of our time on the boat so really we just need somewhere to sleep at night, so this does the job. This location has plenty of boat docking which is very convenient for us. However, the home we stayed in this year could have used a little TLC. When we arrived, the AC was not working and it was 93 degrees in the house. The property manager did quickly address the situation and we had AC later that evening but it was a little frustrating to arrive to that after a long day of travel. The overall cleanliness was just okay. The couches had quite a few stains on them and there was some saw dust of some sort on the floors but no biggie. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Vacation in Cudjoe
This was a nice place to stay. Not quite central to all the keys, but still not too far from Key West or from some of the more eastern keys. Having a house is so much better than staying in a hotel, and the trees made it feel kind of like Hawaii. My favorite was sitting in the lounge chairs in the early evening while the breeze was blowing. That said, the place could use a visit from a handyman. Aside from some lights that don't work and the sliding door that "locks" with a piece of 2x4, the main issue is THE FREAKING HOLE IN THE MASTER SHOWER. So many people have commented about this, and for some reason it's still an issue. It's not gonna ruin your stay; just take care while you're in there. One last bit of advice: When you take a right out of the driveway, gun it, 'cause you can't see what's coming around the curve!

This property was as described, cute house perfect for our stay. All reviews are accurate. There are some things that need to be addressed maintenance wise but nothing that would hinder us staying again. Plan ahead with amenities such as toilet paper, trash bags, etc. One thing the reviews do not mention is how low the water actually is when you have a boat. Low tide is insanely low possibly 6 to 7 inches. Regular tide in the area is 8 to 13 inches at best. If you have a bigger boat this area is not for you. There is no actual canal or channel to go and come. 2 days into our stay a $145k & a $60k boat were damaged one to the point of having to be left over night in the ocean & pulled back in. Also, 4x4 is needed for the boat ramp. This review is an absolute informational review for anyone coming to enjoy with a boat.
